REDWOOD CITY (KPIX 5) — California driver’s licenses will have a new category for undocumented immigrants come January.
The new licenses will contain a notation of “Federal Limits Apply.”
A standing room only community meeting in Redwood City Thursday night contained mostly undocumented immigrants who planned to be first in line for licenses.
“I’m happy for the license, and now the President says you can stay without deportation,” Carla Figueroa told KPIX 5.
Many of the meeting’s attendants may not qualify directly for the immigration plan, but still plan to emerge from the shadows simply by getting their licenses.
“Now they can be driving without fear. They can show a driver’s license. They’ll be able to pay a ticket, and they’ll be able to get insurance,” Silvia Ramirez of United Parents Committee said.
Sounds good. Look forward to an EO adding new limits:

i.e. ANYBODY can now get a modified CA license, not just those that "qualify".
So now the message to the world is "Come on Down (to California wne get your gateway license!. No limits!"
After a year or two the Democrats and their allies will whine that "This license discriminates. They should be given regular licenses."
Now they can be collecting benefits without fear. They can show a driver’s license...

The “driver’s license” is the de facto US identification card. The politicians don’t want to ever admit that the US requires people to carry an ID card, as in every other country in the world.
The “driver’s license” makes a person a de facto citizen, enabling him to open bank accounts, cash checks, get on a commercial flight, respond to police stops and vote.
This happened through the back door, without the politicians ever openly admitting that this was their intention.
Giving “driver’s licenses” to non-citizens makes them citizens in every meaning of the word. And that is their intention.
Note, There are only “Federal Limits”... Wait until CA starts running out of money and they start looking to cut cost and raise taxes... Between the state pension funds and the welfare to illegals it will not take long...
In the states that were already giving illegals drivers license I can’t find out if they can then register to vote .
I would hope there is some annotation on the license that shows they are illegal and can’t register to vote
BUT reality is dems will hold registration drives and sign them up to vote as fast as they snuck across the border.
WE MAY have a year to figure out a way to prevent this

I’d laugh with you if it wasn’t so sad. I might laugh more when I escape this hell-hole.
A co-worker of my husband was killed while driving home - a truck pulled right in front of him to turn left. Of course, it was an illegal. So the widow won’t even be getting any insurance money and there’s not a penny to sue for.

It is going to be interesting to see what happens when they drop their thumbprint for their license, only to be identified for unanswered criminal filings.
