Benghazi Annex Security Team Members Disagree Forcefully with House Intel Committee Report

Saturday on C-SPAN’s Book TV, CIA Benghazi annex security team members Kris Paronto and Mark Geist answered questions about a report released Friday by the House Intelligence Committee on the 9/11 attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi in 2012. The two former CIA contractors pushed back forcefully against parts of the the committee’s conclusions about the night that Ambassador Chris Stevens, U.S. Foreign Service Information Management Officer Sean Smith, and CIA contractors Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty were killed in Benghazi.

The report by the U.S. House of Representatives Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence (HPSCI), chaired by Republican Rep. Mike Rogers, concluded that “the CIA ensured sufficient security for CIA facilities in Benghazi” and that “appropriate U.S. personnel made reasonable tactical decisions that night.” The committee “found no evidence that there was either a stand down order or a denial of available air support.” The report, according to the House Intelligence Committee, is meant to serve as the “definitive House statement on the Intelligence Community’s activities before, during, and after the tragic events that caused the deaths of four brave Americans” so that the American public can separate “facts from the swirl of rumors and unsubstantiated allegations.”

I know most of you are probably as shocked as I am to learn that folks who were on the ground and taking fire and returning it have a different take than folks watching it on tv from d.c. Weird huh?

You have to read between the lines, “ no evidence” means that it could not be proven by a written order.

Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence.

Former FBI agent Rogers is a Clinton butt boy.

When Reno fired all the US Attorneys (except 1 IIRC) in 1993, it was in part to cover up corruption within the FBI and how the FBI had been covering up official corruption of city and county governments.

Surprise! Surprise! Surprise!

Rogers job with the FBI, investigate official corruption of public officials.

From the comments after the article:
JPstillhere
Rogers and Ruppersberger were part of the "gang of eight" at the top of the political food chain that AUTHORIZED the shipments of arms that were in that compound in Benghazi to be shipped clandestinely to Syria (an act that was completely illegal at the time as it had been forbidden by law).
That screams conflict of interest right there. Like having Gorelick on the 9-11 commission. This can hardly be deemed an independent look. And to that caller from Sanford, Florida, it is fair to consider their motives but that makes it necessary to also consider the committee's motives. I see a lot more smoke there.

And where the [blank] was Øbama?

“And where the [blank] was Øbama?” I think the “links” are settled on that too. Where he usually is. On some golf course probably not replacing the divots like a responsible duffer would do. Of course responsible and the lyin’ king do not belong in the same sentence.

What do they know? They were only there. The political elites know all and will tell us what they think we should know. And we should all listen and do as they say. That’s their plan for America.

“”Former FBI agent Rogers is a Clinton butt boy.””

You can check his work on the committee and learn that he was NEVER going to make it his priority to get to the bottom of Benghazi. He’d already announced he was retiring and going to talk radio.....his wife seems to have A LOT of ambition where government contracts are concerned.....

Pearls Before Swine:" Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence."

Speaking of absence , there still has been no testimony of the other 30 individuals who were present in the embassy/ out building who were rescued !
as the state Dept. has sequestered them, and monthly issued non-disclosure documents and lie detector tests.
To my thinking , that smacks of intimidation and cumpulsory silence .(a/k/a : coerup)
Hence , the full true story has still not been released ; the intent of the Congressional hearings, by Dems and RINOs, is to protect the Washington D.C. couch-crowd .

I knew Rogers was part of the cover up when they had the first hearing and Rogers ended the hearing just in time for the evening news where he proclaimed the hearing had put to rest the notion that there was any connection between the protest in Egypt and the attack.

Fact is the attack was planned then the protest in Egypt over the video was planned specifically to create the “spontaneous” lie.

“”Trey Gowdy’s investigation will yield different results. You can bet on that.””

Kenneth Timmerman gave Gowdy a copy of his latest book “Dark Forces” and if he’ll study it carefully and haul before his committee all the people interviewed for the book, the results of this committee will be a heck of a lot different. Hopefully he’ll call Timmerman as a witness in the hearings also. Timmerman did more work on the subject than any other person to date!!

They had adequate security at BENGHAZI? If the enemy overruns your facility and kills the Ambassador, then you DID NOT have adequate security. That makes the report baloney.

“”Rogers ended the hearing just in time for the evening news””

AND he and the other members of the committee managed to get out of town for a “recess” before their report came out? What chicken *****!!!

Did any of them show up on the news Friday night? I sure didn’t see anything about this until this morning!

I'll withhold betting and hold reserved optimism.
