Very cool, eh?
Canadians are great, they are here amongst us in FLA. They have their winter homes here along with Brits and Germans. My wife who worked in retail, only had issues with the French Speaking Canadians.
Very heartening to hear.I must admit that the only parts of Canada’s national anthem I know are “O Canada” and “we stand on guard for thee” and I only know them from watching the NHL.The fact that I usually hear the version that’s sung partially in English and partially in French.
This stinks! What’s a Tampa fan to do? Makes it difficult to keep hating the Leafs and their fans too. Go Bolts!
forgot to add “doesn’t help either” at the end.
Wish our "neighbors" to the south were so considerate.
My personal Saturday night routine is do laundry, eat seafood and watch the hockey game on NHL Network. Seems like the Canada crowd does sign their anthem with a little more zest than we see here.
Just one more reason for me to find a nice Canadian man who wants to move to Texas and enjoy Dallas Stars hockey with me :) I’ve always liked our neighbors to the North. Everyone I’ve encountered has been exceptionally nice.
Canadians have been known to boo American teams even amateur teams. Here’s the NHL example.

ping!
Well it did help that at least half the people in the audience were Americans (and vice versa for U.S. games played over the border).
The Canadian national anthem is a beautiful song but I think the liberals here in the states would try to ban it because it does say the word GOD in it!!
