Sometimes I think there is more sentiment today for the American Ideal as once espoused by the citizens of the United States, among Canadians, than among their neighbors to the south. Canada as a whole, who from time to time have to reprove the occupants of the territory once known as “the United States of America”, seems to have a firmer grasp of personal liberties and personal responsibility than any of the “blue” states and districts found in their nearest neighbor and largest trading partner.
