Investor's Business Daily ^ | 11/19/2014 | IBD Staff

What does it take for reporters to pursue a scandal story these days? Apparently, more than video proof of lying and obfuscation by top officials to get a massive entitlement enacted. But don't call them partisan.

Mr. Gruber is the press, and the press is Mr. Gruber.

IMHO

Why don’t Bill O or Megan K invite network bigwigs on to answer questions about this?

Shocking! Simply shocking! The fifth-column MSM, long time buttboys for traitorous demonicrats now also implicated in the Gruber scandal. Who could have predicted that?!?

Many in the press lost their insurance. Gruber never will.

Gruber’s comments are common knowledge among the Media and the Governing and Academic Elites.

Gruber’s comments are not reported in the media because they reflect the shared conventional wisdom of the Media and the Governing Academic Elites.

Most all knew and most all agreed wholeheartedly with Gruber

Yes, implicates is too general a word. Indicts as abettors would be more accurate.

We no longer have a free press, we have an advocacy press/media these days. The “news” is usually nothing more than an editorial opinion surrounded by some occurrence of the day.

“What does it take for reporters to pursue a scandal story these days?”

Simple - Have a Republican at the center of the scandal.

Although I’m hopeful that I’m wrong, I expect the Gruber story to die on the vine within a week or two.

The reason? Ferguson and the Obama Amnesty stories will dominate the news in the near term. That, in addition to the fact that the major networks and the Drudge Report are ignoring the story and it is being carried basically exclusively by Fox, YouTube and the blogs and websites like Free Republic.

If CBS, NBC, ABC, NYT, LAT and Drudge can successfully maintain their obvious boycott then the story dies.

Hoping I’m wrong.

At this point, when you think about it, there really isn’t much else NEW to report about The Gruber. There is already a redundancy to the videos. Although this redundancy has helped the public to form an opinion about this entire event.

We know enough now to began at the very least public congressional hearings, that will hopefully lead to prosecutions. Oh, and I don’t want Darryl Issa, or John Boehner , Lindsay Graham or John McCain anywhere near the hearings, otherwise, we get stuck in the mud, spinning our wheels for the rest of this presidency as would be the intent.

This has been my thought from day one! Gruber has proven that most of the things we said about Obamacare, which the Press ignored are fact and not the racist anti-Obama babble that they claimed it to be.

So where is the much vaulted unbias investigated journaling? I’ll tell you where any jouralist that tried it was drumed out and made a pariha by their fellow ‘unbias’ journalist.

I read that Fox News and Glenn Beck were among those news outlets told about this back in December of 2013, but they, like all the rest, did nothing.
