How much are benefits going to cost for 5M illegals that Obama is set to welcome? No one even bothers to ask who is going to foot the bill for that.

And what have these people have done for the country? Jack squat. But they will be 5M agents of wealth redistribution and will vote democratic.

“The Pentagon wants the legislation to include measures that would boost out-of-pocket fees for Tricare, the health plan for military families, and require service members to kick in for up to six percent of their housing.”

Yea, that will attract more recruits. Up here in the Mohawk Valley of NY, they closed Griffiss AFB in 94. Some people wanted to use the vacated family housing for the homeless, but it was determined that the housing did not meet the standard for the homeless, so the housing area was left to decay.

This sickens me: they want to take benefits from the folks protecting this nation, and give new benefits to folks that are here illegally.

And they think this is OK.

Yes, sickening is precisely the right word.

Disappointing...That was January of 2011, do you know if she’s backed off that now?

The same thing happened at Mather AFB in Sacramento. They wanted put the homeless into military housing, but it was determined the housing was not good enough for the homeless. You don't think that caused a little hate and discontent to spread among the troops? I can assure you it did.

boost out-of-pocket fees for Tricare, the health plan for military families, and require service members to kick in for up to six percent of their housing.

I always see red when they go after the military, and especially when it hurts the younger and lower ranking members. Assuming that the average soldier is an E-4, then they make about 2000 a month, 24 thousand a year. That's about 460 dollars a week BEFORE taxes, fees, insurance, etc.

Let's say they pay 6% for housing and 6% for health care. Let's assume health care and housing both to be worth about 8000 a year, so we're talking 960 a year now not in their pay checks. We've just cut their take home by another 20 bucks a month. What is 460 after taxes, ssn, med, insurance, health, and rent: I'm guessing it's about 360, anyway.

Filling my car's gas tank costs about 40 bucks. One tank of gas is more than 10% of their weekly take home.

Sure gonna save a lot of $$ because I’m sure there are many thousands of veterans who meet the income requirement...but I see your point.

I mean, if we can’t get a disabled vet living on less than $20k a year to an appt., why have the facility. If we don’t have the facility, we don’t need the staff...bingo! $$$ saved!

And to be direct, I wanted the anti-military poster to explain herself, she has a pretty crappy history of making snide, anti-military comments without justification...
