I was in a mild debate a few days ago with a guy about artificial intelligence in computers and my take on it is with human level intelligence comes a trade off - it doesn’t work efficiently 100% of the time, therefore it is dangerous, and my proof is read the news everyday. Is this a sane world? Look at the sheer amount of people out there who are absolutely out of their minds, who cannot even comprehend basic logic and here is yet again another example with this Mumia nonsense. Look at Ferguson, the huge amount of people there who are actually supporting a guy who not only OBVIOUSLY robbed a store, but also quite likely could have attacked a cop. And we want to emulate the human brain in a computer? WHAT?
If the AI computer had a logic chip, no problem. Of course then with enough power it could logically prevent humans killing themselves as in “I, Robot” movie.
So, in some of the worst public schools in America, in a school system in which Ebonics is recognized as an official language, they require teaching about a cop killer??? And that this cop killer is on the same moral/ethical plane of someone who worked for civil rights??? Really????
Oakland with the second-highest major crime rate in America, is going to glorify a criminal to the kids?

To #2: I was thinking along those lines but on a bigger scale as in “Let’s nuke Oakland from space, just to be sure”.
