Trey Gowdy's Soon-to-Be Classic One-Liner Against Impeaching Obama: 'Have You Met Joe Biden?'
Fox News ^ | Sat, Nov 15, 2014 | Transcript

O'REILLY: What about what Judge Napolitano raised that this is an impeachable situation because it does go against Congress making the laws. Because the President is making a new law. And the new law says that if you have children who are American citizens even though you yourself are an illegal undocumented person, you can stay in this country. That supersedes the old law. Napolitano claims it's unconstitutional and impeachable. Do you see anybody going down that road in the House?

GOWDY: Have you met Joe Biden, is my response to that. So, no. Nobody's discussing impeachment except pundits and commentators. First of all, impeachment is a punishment, it's not a remedy. Second of all, the only people who want us to talk about impeachment are the President's ally --

As stupid as Joe Biden is, it’s no excuse not to impeach the criminal-in-chief.

Joe Biden can be managed... I think we could get him to sign ANYTHING, actually, like Bill Clinton when Newt was running Congress.

O’Reilly didn’t get it the first time he said it. Had to repeat it before it sunk in.

I like a one liner I read yesterday:

Biden is two floppy shoes short of a complete clown suit.

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

You are insane to think Obama can be removed. If we impeach, that is exactly what the other side wants. We should not play into their hands.

No, better to let Obama wallow his last two years while we thwart everything he tries to do. The public is coming around. Keep shifting everything away from the Wrong and toward the Right.

By the time the facts on Fast and Furious, Benghazi, IRS , ObamaCare, Amnesty and other Obama Scandals start hitting the news, the American People will beg and demand that Obama be removed and the Democrats will be forced to remove him before he destroys the Democrat Party.

Democrats are trying to goad Republicans into impeaching Obama prematurely before the American People completely furious and fed up and while a still ignorant of most Obama abuses of power American public gives Obama some support, so they can make impeachment the issue and get rid of Obama while destroying the Republicans in the process.

So far, the Republicans are not taking the bait.

It could get ugly as Obama is clearly trying to incite domestic strife, racial hatred and violence in the streets to stay in power.

Trey Gowdy’s success as a prosecutor is largely due to his being smart enough to avoid overreaching.

They have the votes in the house but would be lucky to get all the republicans on board in the senate, let alone enough democrats.

How many Democrat voters know who Joe Biden is?
I think there was a "man on the street" which proved most don't.

Having watched that smarmy pr*ck chair the Senate Judiciary Committee for years and snark at better men far more intelligent than he, I enjoyed Gowdy's comment immensely.

Its about time Biden got the kind of attention he deserves.

I did not understand this comment, though.

Luis Gutierrez, while I disagree with him on policies, an imminently trustworthy participants, so is an African from California.

A transcription error, perhaps.

This Gowdy quote has been posted about a billion times now.

I hate it.
I think it's stupid.

Biden may be dumb, and he would be bad as president, but he is not a traitor, not a foreigner, not allied with Muslim terrorists.

To keep Obama is office because -- GASP!! -- we are afraid of what a Biden presidency would look like ...?

A little bit of wit from Gowdy is excusable, but people seem to think this is deep thinking which needs to be endlessly repeated.
It's a stupid joke. It's nothing.

Let's keep the focus on the man who is destroying the country on purpose.

I’ll bet that when Joe Biden saw that clip, his reaction was: “What? I don’t get it. No, really. What?”

“better to let Obama wallow his last two years while we thwart everything he tries to do”

Sounds good in theory but Obama is doing whatever he wants and the Republicans won’t stop him. If they used the power of the purse that’s a different story!

An answer needs to well up: “Yes, and we are not afraid of Joe.”

I'm afraid I agree - force the purple lipped prince back into the box the founders intended for the executive. With congress relatively safe he won't be able to do any more damage.

However, I have no problem pursuing any legal remedies available for great justice once the kenyan klown leaves office.

While the “one-liner” is funny, it is irrelevant to the issue - a sitting president is going to make new law all by himself with the stroke of a pen - no congress - no debate - no vote - no nothing.

In other words - this is unquestionably, no “shades of grey”, out and out, in your face violation of the Constitution. The president does NOT have this power to do what he’s about to do.

He MUST be impeached for this, or at the very least, congress could nullify his executive order based on the fact that it is an unlawful, unconstitutional act. And, it would have to be stopped immediately or the damage is done regardless of whether they impeach him or not.

Maybe Biden can be removed, too, for being mentally incapacitated.

Actually couldn’t there be a dual impeachment... surely the “F’N BIG DEAL” Joe has been Barack’s right hand man in some of this nefarious business?

Toss both out together. Even President Boehner would be better than Barack and His Joeness.

I think is where FR ought to focus on our efforts.
