She may very well be a Democrat "in spirit" but she can't vote until she becomes an American citizen. Citizenship takes years...and they have to take their citizenship test in English. MOST of these illegals can barely speak English. Their writing in English is nonexistent.
Without reading and writing skills in English these illegals will always be on the fringe of our society...and that's hardly better than where they come from.

She probably has her "green card," which means she can live and work here...and pay federal income tax. She may also be living in a state that takes STATE income tax, like California. If she doesn't pay these income tax entities...then she's liable.
The IRS will find her and all the other "green card" folks, no matter where she is. That legal "green card" is their undoing. If they do it the RIGHT and LEGAL way, they HAVE to pay taxes. If they pay taxes then they are "on the grid" and subject to federal and state scrutiny.
If the workers are illegal, they are always hunted and at the mercy of those who DO hire them...as a threat of deportation if they "misbehave." They get no payback of taxes that they paid.
My uncle in Arizona, who worked for Customs, had a Mexican maid and he made her pay all the taxes due. She hated it but needed the work. When she finally retired and returned to Mexico she LIVED OFF of those AMERICAN taxes that she had paid. It was her ONLY source of income since the Mexican promise of tax funding is a lie.
In the end these illegals go back home. The IRS is implacable.

The dirty secret is that they are all undereducated and have so many kids that they don’t pay taxes! They make so little money that with a large number of people in their family they qualify for benefits.
I don’t disagree with your stance on businesses, however. They should be identified and heavily prosecuted for felonious acts of crime.

More "fences" ... I DON'T think that they could ever do as well as more human eyes. Our border guards are also HONEST and THAT is a formidable deterrent to the illegals. They remind me of the Untouchables who couldn't be bribed by the Mob.
I do think that the REAL pressure to stop illegals HAS to come from the White House. HE has to pressure the President of Mexico, the one who makes the most profit from his people and ultimately DRIVES poorer Mexicans to gringolandia

You DO state that they are "all undereducated" and that means that they can't EVER get a decent job--which REQUIRES reading and writing...IN ENGLISH...and therefore will never be on the USA grid. AND SO, they will never get the benefits that you and I get.

I have no doubt the majority of those demanding legal status do not realize some of the (possible) less desirable consequences. However, for the most part them being on the grid will only gain them legal access to more free social services.
It worked like a charm in AZ with sb1070. Simple solution is to adopt the provisions that SCOTUS let stand on a federal level. You wouldn't even need to build a fence.
No I did not say that. I said they will qualify for benefits because of the number of people in their families and the pay they receive....ON THE GRID. The minute they are made legal in any way they will receive benefits.
