I’m thinking Putin wants a land corridor to Crimea, at a minimum.

Sounds like a really big picnic outing for the Soviet forces before winter sets in...or maybe the beginning of a war. Obama has been kicked all over the international schoolyard during the last couple of weeks. We have become a pitiful laughingstock of a nation. Next they are going to force Ralphy (Obola) to stick his tongue to the frozen pole.

Since that has been an unbroken Russian doctrine since the Crimea War, it’s a reasonable guess.

Except that Putin himself will be removed if he doesn’t deliver, and replaced with someone who does.

Worry when they put 2,000 T-90s of the border and start crossing. Worry when they thrust towards Kiev and start taking out the airfields.

How are Hungary, Poland and other neighboring countries feeling about their ethnics being forced into war for Kiev? Would anyone except for the Kiev crowd (and their cheerleader on FR and the well paid mercenaries) be upset if the neighbors partitioned Ukraine?

Adolph Putin can read Neville Obama like a book. He knows exactly what he can get away with and will take every inch.

Why doesn’t Russia just leave Ukraine alone?

I recall from Cold War days how the Russians, Chinese and other commies denounced “US imperialism”. It was ironically funny then, and still is. In fact, Russia has been one of the most imperial countries in history, for the past 1,000 years. Look at Russia on the map, they occupy more land than any country on earth!

In regard to your question, who wouldn’t want to stop Russia’s continued expansion? The people of Ukraine have suffered terribly under Russian tyranny, so why wouldn’t they want to be rid of Russia? Why wouldn’t we empathize with that? After Ukraine, will Poland be next?

-----

The Hungarians are angry about this and they want to avoid to be sent to the Eastern part of Ukraine.  Also, there are more demanding voices coming out from Hungary for autonomy for all the ethnic minorities living in the Western side of Ukraine.  Unfortunately the Ukrainian nationalistic movement against minorities is getting worst.

Putin apologists will be here to say he is just being neighborly.

Having a nearly defenseless neighbor is such a provocation!

Russian puppet governments have been looting Ukraine since the Soviet Union fell, they finally threw off that yoke and got invaded within weeks of getting real independence. Then Putin apologists come in and say the Ukrainians haven’t run their country properly. Which is hilarious, really.
