Good to see Howie will be back on his own terms! Entercom is garbage for the low-information crowd. Talkers magazine said that he’s got plans for going national at some point in the near future.

Howie had VB on today, didn’t take him long to begin the gluttony gags....I did not listen very long as his signal is worse that WRKO’s where Mike Siegel is doing quite well.

Howie has an uphill task ahead of him on this so-called network. He should do better is summer when stations can keep the power and radiation pattern up longer.

Do you think he has any national cred? Can he get an audience in Ohio? How about Texas? On the face of it, as I wrote earlier, he is about Boston, Massachusetts (75%) and Maine and NH the other 25%. He is nearly 0% on national interest talk radio or issues. He has no basis of knowledge, is his problem, and one knows, just listening, he doesn’t care either.

Agreed tho some are closer to the antenna or listen on smartphones.
He could do some national topics and has in some ways but you’re right about his MA/NH focus. “Joining us now is state rep Shauna O’Connell”...”ok, from what state?” a listener in Texas or Ohio wonders. “I’ll be appearing in Winchester tonight...” etc Not relevant to someone in Seattle.

He does have one tiny station in Shell Lake WI—think they have to shut off at sunset—amnd in the past was on stations in Salt Lake City, Maryland, and an Entercom station, KIRO AM or was it FM in Seattle and for a time he did shows for KFI in LA via ISDN. He’s filled in for Dennis Miller and Mark Levin. He could truly do national but it sure sounds regional.

I will add about 7 of his 16 or so stations are on FM though and don’t have AM problems; including Cape Cod, Bangor,
Augusta, Upper Valley NH and some small repeaters in Upper Valley, Keene, and Portland. WCRN 830 covers a lot of ground but if it were only in Boston, not Worcester...
