LETTER: Felix Sanchez: ‘Our nation is lost’ (Sniff, sniff ... boo-hoo)
The Martinez News-Gazette ^ | November 13, 2014 | Felix Sanchez

Posted on 11/13/2014 2:02:42 AM PST by 2ndDivisionVet

Dear Editor,

Considering all of the craziness that we’ve all had to deal with when it comes to this past election, I figured that I would hold off on anything politically related for a while. Plus for me, I tend to note things more on a national level anyway, and I’m not wanting to write anything national for a local paper. However, considering the opinion piece that was put into Sunday’s issue, I felt that this basically gave me the entrance that I need to get a few things clear for the people in the first place.

Now, considering that Mrs. Debra J. Saunders was mostly talking about the healthcare law that went into effect back at the beginning of the year, the one that only the Republicans have been calling Obamacare, also known as the Affordable Care Act (ACA), one honestly has to wonder if maybe for a chance she’s hoping that the ACA gets completely repealed in the first place, since that’s what’s going to happen. Now, make no mistake about this – once the Republicans took control over both the House and the Senate, the middle class is done for. Now, there are those that keep thinking that no, the middle class will still be around; well, I hate to say this (OK, no I don’t), but open your bloody eyes and look around you. The Republicans don’t give one rat’s fig about the middle and since the Bush Jr years (yes I’m going there), the Republicans have shown that the only people that they even care about happen to be the rich in the first place. Greed and stupidity were the ones that won the nation over on Tuesday. OK, that and the lies mixed with fear, along with just about all of the Democrats running for office in the first place. Nope, the ones that won big on Tuesday were the rich and those that happen to have the money in the first place.

You see, besides the ACA getting fully repealed (and yeah, as long as the Republicans hold the majority that veto isn’t going to mean much when they can simply do a party line vote to override the veto in the first place; saw it happen before so that’s why I know that they’re going to be doing that. Now, who benefits the most if the ACA gets completely repealed? Well, gee, the insurance companies. Before, if you had health issues, it was the insurance companies that basically had final say over everything when it came to if you paid the bill or they did. However, once the ACA kicked in, then the rates got lowered because they were competing for everyone. However, there were those areas that got screwed since there was only one health insurance company in the area, and at that point the ACA really didn’t mean much and the insurance companies could tell the people anything that they wanted to. So yeah, the ACA is going to be the first thing that’s going to be going.

What’s next, you ask? That Keystone Pipeline that everyone’s been trying to fight (except for big oil). That’s going to be getting passed and is going to end up being one of the biggest ecological disasters of all time as it goes through the bread basket of the nation and ends up killing us big time. After all, if that goes through, then it will mean that there’s going to be higher costs at the pump and there’s not going to be a damned thing that anyone can do about it at all.

OK, after that, Social Security is going the way of the dodo and getting privatized. That way, the rich don’t have to pay into it anymore and our seniors and disabled that rely upon that, well, they’re out of luck.

Education? What education? That’s gone. Considering that the rich and the Republicans would rather have those that fear and don’t ask questions running around. Why do you think that there’s so much hatred out there in the first place, because they want the fear to spread. After all, if you fear something, then you’re easier to control.

Look, the list goes on, but suffice it to say that it’s not going to be McConnell or Boehner that will be calling the shots in Washington, it’s going to be the rich and TEA Party favorite, ultra conservative Ted Cruz. You remember him. He’s the one that had the government shut down last year. Yeah, that bonehead. He’s the one that’s going to be calling the shots. Look, it’s not going to be a matter of President Obama acting like anyone else; truth of that matter is that President Obama has done more in his time in office than the Republicans really want to have known. After all, if they go after only everything that he’s done wrong instead of everything that he’s done right, then they can’t get the public to hate him in the first place. This is one of the reasons why it’s not a matter of who the president acts like. The Republicans won’t work with the president, period, because the president is for the middle and lower classes. He wants to tax the rich, which is what should be happening in the first place. You don’t tax the middle class out of money they don’t have, you go after the ones that do have the money. However, the only thing that the Republicans want to do is keep giving tax breaks to the rich and make sure that they get to keep their money. After all, that’s one of the main reasons why they’re fighting the minimum wage increase so badly – because they want to keep their money, and they know that they can’t do that if the minimum wage gets increased. So what’s the best way to do that? Tax the middle and lower classes, get rid of the unions and make sure that the top rich folks keep their tax breaks and their money.

Just watch, there isn’t going to be any bipartisanship in Washington because the Republicans, when you look at the fine lines, are going to screw us out of everything. We’re going to be working more hours for far less money.

Now, you might call me a liberal for all of this. Well, guess what? If wanting to tax the rich, make sure everyone has heath coverage that won’t screw them over, and living for a better tomorrow makes me liberal, then bloody hell, I’ll wear that badge proudly!

Poor guy is apparently completely unfamiliar with the Constitution. Not a particular surprise.

Wow, Sanchez shouldn’t take it so personal.

All I want is that every aspect of legislation he has ever supported is completely eradicated from our law books forever, and he and his socialist ilk are driven into the oceans never to be seen or heard from again on the American political landscape.

Other than that, no hard feelings compadre?!?

I'm not sure this screed makes him a liberal; I think he may have lingered in the sanitarium common room for too long to qualify as a simple liberal, but what it surely does make him is an ignorant, reality-disconnected blowhard lacking the slightest degree of self-regulation or shame. He'd be best advised to concentrate his efforts on his solitaire checkers game, it needs much improvement.

For a Democrat, Felix seems well-informed, he’s bought into every lie, every stupidity, every piece of moronic manure put out by the Dems/Media/Government Schools. Grasshopper, you have learned well.
