Actor and conservative pundit Ben Stein says the real problem with race in America is a “very, very beaten-down, pathetic, self-defeating black underclass.”
“If you read the liberal mainstream media, that the main problem with race in America was poor innocent black people being set upon and mistreated by the police,” Stein said on NewsMaxTV, commenting on a report that the mother of Michael Brown could face felony armed robbery charges for attacking people in Ferguson, Missouri. “That’s just nonsense.”
“I mean, the real problem with race in America is a very, very beaten-down, pathetic, self-defeating black underclass that is — uh, just can’t seem to get its way going in the way that blacks were able to before the scourge of drugs and the scourge of gangs.”
The former game show host and Nixon administration official cited drugs and family destruction as a “crisis in the black community” that President Obama has not addressed.
“I mean, it’s an amazing thing — blacks were on their way in this country, even after the horrors of slavery, and then drugs came in, the destruction of families came in, and the crisis in the black community is just absolutely unbelievable. And that, it seems to me, is something that Mr. Obama could have addressed, and he just ignored it completely.”
During an appearance on Fox News Sunday last week, Stein called Obama “the most racist president there has ever been in America.”
Obama is a racist.
Well well....refreshing to hear some hard truth coming out of Stein’s mouth.
Although I believe the black middle and upper classes have their own levels of pathetic to them as well.

For crying out loud, we have lots and lots of problems as a nation, but a bit problem we have is that an entire section of our population is downtrodden and fights to keep it that way.
Sure we have a lot more problems. But that one is HUGE.
Now, about bringing back jobs to America...
Someone needs to tell Mr. Stein that in 2014 Amerika the truth does not set you free. It gets you a criminal investigation by the DOJ’s Civil Rights Division and an audit from the IRS.
Oh, is Stein ever getting the business from what seems mostly leftist commenters. According to the latter, ALL!! of the problems of black people are caused by greedy, rich white people. Can you imagine that...none of the problems of the Black Underclass are caused by themselves? Gee whiz, those nasty, greedy, rich white people just won’t stop oppressing black people. (snicker)

Everyone pretends not to know this, but they do.
As long as it is safely contained in welfare hatcheries, nobody is concerned; the birthrate is falling, and (at least in my area) blacks are usually safely encapsuled within large rings of Hispanics.
Why stop there, don't whites "have their own levels of pathetic?" Don't be a racist jackass.

Only those of us of a certain age remember when black Americans had solid families with married parents, fathers who worked every day - many owning successful businesses, sent their kids to school every day with clean faces and clean clothes, disciplined them if they misbehaved went to Bible-believing churches and tried to live the Ten Commandments. Many young people think it always has been the way it is today, that black men don’t marry and support their women because from the beginning slaves were torn from their families and they never had a chance to bond. They don’t know that at one time more blacks were married percentage-wise than whites.
I have no idea, only you can answer that question. I don't recommend it though, as it makes a person look stupid.
The list is long according to the ‘progressive’ commentators. But, things like institutional racism, are excuses for failure.
The destruction of black family life was deliberate and it was orchestrated by white liberals. White liberals aided and abetted a rap music industry that celebrated drugs, crime, insolence, and hostile attitudes towards women. It fostered a sexual revolution that made the single-parent, fatherless family the norm. It told blacks that learning proper English was racist and oppressive, and that educational excellence was a sad imitation of the white man. It told young men to play midnight basketball instead of getting some sleep and preparing for school. It told young black men that they could get into college without any qualification other than athletic ability.
Reread my initial post again, if you’re honest with yourself (you know the truth hurts), then you will agree with me that as a whole blacks certainly contribute more to their own problems then any real racist could ever imagine doing.
I work with MBA’s who can’t even put two coherent sentences together without using double-negatives. Any criticism of their messiah is considered “racist”. You’re playing that same STUPID game.

I once had a friend who came from one of those families. A lot of junk was heaped on his head from his own family because he was "acting better than" them. But he pulled up and made a good, decent life for himself. He told me one day that he had to make a concerted effort "to give up mediocrity."
But at least his mother never let him out to play in their crime-ridden neighborhood. She worked, but he and his sibs stayed home with an iron-willed grandma.
Somebody darned well better get iron-willed about the current mess.

Anywhere gov’t social spending is, it has lured people into dependency.
Everything, social security, medicare, foodstampees, etc.
It’s a dang shame, but it’s very difficult to resist, over the years, “baking in” the gubmint programs to one’s future plans, when one is in the lower 2/3 or so of income level.
Here and there you find an outlier, someone in the lower income brackets who has a surprising amount of dough invested.
Just think of the targeting of blacks since WWII, bombarding their brains every day with messages that they deserve a handout, a preference, etc.
Also, toward the young, that they need to be cool and par-tay in order to be cool. And they need to speak in “cool” way to be cool.
Sex, drugs, cool music - constant advertising telling them they need more of “their” “unique” culture.
No success ? Fine, blame someone else.
It has been seemingly endless advertising, globalist schools indoctrination, political organizing and rhetoric, promotion in the arts, etc.
And many actually HAVE resisted the notions.
And meanwhile... young white kids have been marketed a complimentary message - it’s all their parents’ fault, and that whites owe blacks a life of no work and everything for free. You know, just to square things up.
There’s been so much media push, they got enough public support to pass the Civil Rights act, etc., etc., etc.
It takes a lot of push to get your own laws passed in Congress.
I think the country would be fine if the financial elites had not purposely gutted it politically, economically, morally, etc.
