Imagine the conversation between the detestable Obama with David Cameron over a similar situation nowadays..
No.. wait.. I can’t. Detestable one would never have launched any kind of operation against a communist takeover anywhere.

I remember reading Reagan’s autobiography. He said Thatcher was livid that she wasn’t informed ahead of time.

Ronald Reagan was a real president and conducted himself as such.

A good example of how a real President, how real leaders, handle a situation. I don’t expect to see any more like them in my lifetime and that is a real shame.
0bama would have been flinging blame in all directions the way orangutans fling poo.

Actually brought a tear to my eye, thinking of the “good ol’ days” when we had “leaders” in the world.
Thatcher knew Reagan did the right thing, and that he had to do it that way. No egos got in the way of a great relationship between our two once great nations.

Reagan also said they displayed for the press all the documents captured, proving that the Soviets were involved. Nobody from the press showed any interest.

The POS we have now is, and always be, a POS. Perhaps Americans 50 years from now will hear apologies as well, only from the PØS to the leader of Iran, for UN votes in favor of Israel, Iranian sanctions...

A leader and a gentleman at the same time. Class, polish and culture all over Reagan and Thatcher. God bless their memories.
To: Zajko
Man. Notice how she mentions the secret line isn't secure? But Reagan implied concerns about secrecy were the fault of the US.
What an incredible find! thanks for posting it.
