There is no amnesty unless the Border Patrol follows unlawful orders. There must be a way to force their hand, even without the Attorney General. Don’t want to put BP in the middle but if they knowingly break the law themselves, go after them.

Given the campaign strategy the Repubs employed there is no way they are going to hand fodder to the media with an Impeachment.

Make it known that the blue cards will be used to track down and prosecute any illegals who apply. Then Buckwheat’s amnesty will fall apart on its own.

I agree. They have been legalizing people in bits and pieces, and nobody stood up to them for doing it.
One thing that bothers me, is the idea that over time they have already legalized most of the 30 to 40 million people who have come here illegally.

No, I don't have a cedar plank nor do I have a smoker.
It would be loverly done the way you like it. You have to have a manly man around to manage a smoker. I know I could have done it but things are getting too hard for me.
I do love smoked salmon yum yum yum home smoked. I think you wet the plank and the smoker is a much lower temperature for slow cooking and moistness. The kind you buy is strong and greasy lately. I don't have a manly man that goes fishing either, especially coho salmon, don't know if they are in the great lakes any more. I like the red wild the best but I'll take what I can get.
There is some red Canadian trout I can get sometimes and it tastes a lot like salmon to me. It may be farm raised.
You don't know how I would love to try it your way. I used to buy a whole big filet of salmon, bake it, eat it, share it if anybody here, store in fridge. Then I love it cold and eat some every day until it is gone. I have had a guy rave over my salmon though. It was sitting on the stove and he sheepishly asked if he could have some lol. Of course. A guy my daughter knew.
I am lucky now to get just some smaller pieces. I could splurge I guess but it's hard to get used to the inflated prices for food. Thank heaven we have a store, a couple actually, to get fresh fish, I love around the holidays when they have more choices.
I never do salmon the exact same way always but did submit a recipe to one of those cooking sites. People liked it but I was using a combo of butter and margarine to baste and add flavor. I think the olive oil will be better and healthier. I'm not used to cooking with it.
