Samoa Republicans added to the number!
Great news from the Pacific Ocean. If I’m not mistaken, Congresswoman-elect Amata will be the first Republican woman of Polynesian ancestry to serve in Congress. She’s a non-voting delegate, but she can vote in committee and speak on the floor and win is a win and I’m happy to have it.
Welcome to the House majority, Samoa!
I’m not very well versed on some aspects of our history of the states, so I will just come out and ask a question; What do we as a nation gain by having Guam as a territory? Are there minerals there? Is this under the same status as is Puerto Rico, a territory that has repeatedly rejected statehood because it’s to their fiscal advantage?
My guess is we acquired this property during WW2 as it gave us a tactical advantage to fight our wars with Japan and later with Korea. Do the Guamanians see themselves as Americans?
The GOP achieved a lot of “firsts” in this election. Meanwhile, with the DEMS it was the same old, same old. Even their so-called “fresh faces” got annihilated.
The GOP now holds 66 or 99 state chambers, I read.
We’re in the era of the rural/suburban voters against the city dwellers. The GOP has a message for ALL, the DEMS have nothing to offer for the rural/suburban crowd.
The Pelosi’s can’t be happy about this. Isn’t that where they have a fish canning business?
Great!
Noooooo! Not Faleomavaega Eni! THE Faleomavaega Eni!
