Voter anger over a stagnant economic recession and gridlock in Washington extended far beyond the Beltway on Tuesday night as Americans delivered stunning blows to Democratic candidates in statewide races across the country.

Maybe there are two America’s.

One that lives in RealVille and the other in an adolescent fantasy world.

I wish that was true in Pennsylvania. The fools here elected a Democrat for governor. In fact in my area, except for governor, the Democrats in other races ran unopposed. It’s like being in the old Soviet Union. A one party system.

My liberal relatives in Kalamazoo are screeching that their new state senator is a republican. (Kalamazoo is only surpassed by Ann Arbor in liberalism)

Colorado swept Udall out of the US Senate but voted to keep Hickenlooper as governor. I cannot label those who chose not to vote for Beauprez stupid.

Beauprez was the designated loser whose job was to keep out Tom Tancredo. He never had a chance. He was rejected by 17 points last time he ran for Governor.

Republicans now have the House, Senate and Executive Council in New Hampshire. The Governor is still a Democrat. She won’t be able to do much damage.

I’m sure you were not the only one to go to sleep thinking NC has kept Hagan.

It was really screwy how they counted votes in NC and Florida - both states apparently got to Democrat strongholds early in the evening, because Charlie Crist led Rick Scott and Kay Hagan led Tillis the vast majority of the night. It wasn’t til like 11 or so that they pulled ahead.

Governor Hickenlooper won in part because he and his party jammed through the fraudulent voter invitation act. Same day registration is an encouragement and virtual endorsement for every kind of voter fraud imaginable. The republican’s now control the legislative branch and should pass a bill immediately to repeal this most egregious assault on election integrity.

Well, it was certainly that way here. John Kasich beat his ‘Rat rival by a 2:1 margin and the 2nd-largest landslide in modern elections. All the upper-level state offices when to the ‘Pubs, including a couple of state supreme court judges. Back on ‘06 the ‘Rats were crowing that they had turned Ohio blue on a “permanent” basis. So much for that pipedream.

The big question is have the Republicans won enough to bring about an Article V convention?

Right now, enough states have at some time supported a balanced budget amendment that the Republican congress might resolve that the 34 state threshold has been reached, and that those states which tried to rescind their resolutions could not do so.

This would mean that the Republican congress could set up a constitutional convention almost as soon as they are in office.

All 50 states would be required to send delegations to the constitutional convention, likely using rules that the “dry run” agreement agreed to, and if 38 states agreed to a balanced budget amendment, it would become law.

Didn't hurt Corey Gardner a bit. Beauprez is not well liked in Colorado. He never had a chance. Anybody listing to local talk radio heard caller after caller saying they would not vote for the man.

Republicans are a majority in the New Mexico House of Representatives for the first time since 1953.
