Orrin Hatch also becomes President pro-Tempore. Not exactly a specifically powerful position but he is now 4th in line to the Presidency.

I want them to send a major force to kick butt and save those abducted school girls in Nigeria.

That issue weighs heavy on my mind.

Sounds like we have stutterer in the house. :^)

Ted could certainly be a game changer couldn’t he.

If we could get him to lead the Senate, and a better guy to run the House, wow...

Now, will the Republican Senators gather behind Cruz?

Gosh, he sounds an awful lot like those terrorists in the Tea Party.

It’s probably more of a long-shot than we want to admit.

Hopefully, he won’t figure it out with geometric logic!

I don’t know if you want Cruz as the Majority Leader. In the absence of other things, yes, of course. However, I want him to be living at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue come January 20, 2017 - and if he is the Majority Leader this will take away from his time to run the right way. Further, it’ll make him even more of a target if things don’t go well (and you can’t bet the farm that the Dems will do everything that they can to make that happen).

Let Cruz be Cruz - don’t saddle him with that job, let him seek his natural level. JMHO.

If you were REALLY SERIOUS about getting the abducted girls returned, you'd have a picture taken of yourself, with a hashtag sign.

Now...here's someone serious about doing something.
(She had one of her aides get a piece of poster board)
(She had another one of her aides find a marker)
(She had another one of her aides write the sign)
(She had another one of her aides pick out her dress)
(She had another one of her aides find the White Hut photographer)
(She had another one of her aides find her personal hair stylist)
(She had another one of her aides coach her on "looking" properly sad)
(She had another aide call the White House chef)
(She had the White Hut chef make her a sandwich, as ordering all the aides is a tiring job)
(Her aide coaching her for her proper look, suggested she not eat the sandwich, as immense hunger gives Michelle the proper sad look)
(The aide was promptly fired)
(She had another aide hire a new aide, to replace the recently fired aide)
(She had another aide do her make up)
(The hairstylist did her hair)
(The photographer took 1000 pictures, over 3 hours, to get the right sad/hungry look)
(The White Hut photographer was fired for taking too long)
(Another aide then had to hire a new photographer)
(Then all the aides got in a huge cat fight, over who was going to post the picture on twitter)

I don't know what you were thinking of a major force, but you can't get any more major than that.

What was I thinking.

What does she mean “our” girls. I’m for saving them, but they are not our girls. Irks me that the Obamas seem to feel more African than American. Whatever way they wish to hyphenate their name, they should consider themselves 100% Americans.
