MEMPHIS, Tenn. Voters have decided to amend Tennessees constitution in regards to abortion, according to the AP.
The amendment reads:
Nothing in this Constitution secures or protects a right to abortion or requires the funding of an abortion. The people retain the right through their elected state representatives and state senators to enact, amend, or repeal statutes regarding abortion, including, but not limited to, circumstances of pregnancy resulting from rape or incest or when necessary to save the life of the mother.

THANK YOU TENNESSEE!
Go kill your babies elsewhere, liberals. ISIS will gladly do it for you.
Huge win. All four passed. 2 was too vauge to vote no and nothing really changes. There wasn’t any language to vote no that changed the retain/remove way we vote on judges after their first 8 years.
Goes from a committee to the governor. The committee was political also. The legislature has to approve in both cases and then the retain/remove.
Really don’t know what was the big deal.
WE WON.
Great news
I was figuring we would pass this one
OMG What is going on with the folks in Tennessee? First I read the State Income ban. This is amazing I’m ready to pack my bags and head out there and leave the Land of Fruits and Nuts. [Must be something in the water] Thank you Lord
“Really dont know what was the big deal.”
Hear that crying? Sounds like a baby crying? That is Planned Parenthood crying like babies tonight because they LOST!
Oh yeah. They spent a fortune on NO...around $5 million. Still don’t get the deal about 2.
Gotta love Tennessee.
Only I still don’t get Al Gore.
The alGore wasn’t raised here. A lot of us don’t claim him as a fellow Tennessean - no way, no how.
:-)
Tennessee has some sane people left! Yay
Gore got elected to the senate because he was the smart, clean-cut, handsome, moderate, tobacco-growing, anti-gay rights, pro-life son of a popular former senator. His attractive wife waged a battle against dirty lyrics in popular music and, like half of Tennessee, he was, at that time, a Southern Baptist who talked openly about his Christian faith. He spent time in Vietnam and didn’t come off as a nasty anti-military commie hippie Democrat. At the time TN had a popular conservative Democrat Speaker of the State House (he later became governor) who threw his weight behind Gore (coincidentally Gore’s aunt was one of the Speaker’s longtime neighbors). Of course much of Gore’s persona proved to be a giant lie, which is why he was unable to carry TN when he ran against W.
God bless Tennesee! :)
We ain't playin' checkers here in the Volunteer State.
You know, when I read all of the articles online about “the 10 dumbest states”, etc., and Tennessee makes every negative list out there, I know it is just red state bashing. Sure, my state has it’s problems, but the people obviously aren’t stupid. LOL
The bad news is that they kept that squish Lamar! in office for another six years. We made a good run at him in the primary, but his huge money pile was too much to overcome. And that idiot George Flinn drained off a lot of votes that might have gone to Joe Carr.
Tennessee was determined to be one of the cheapest states to live in, too. If you have a job you can do from anywhere, then you are welcome to leave the fruits and nuts and join us in Tennessee.
Yes, and over 95% of the vote no money came from big abortion provider Planned Parenthood while the majority of vote yes came from private Tennesseans.
Patriots are heading into East Tennessee...they have been doing it for some time. :-)
Righteousness exalts a Nation.
Blessed is the Nation whose God is the LORD.
Just a few thoughts....
