Is the problem that the results are shown wrong on the touchscreen or is there another place where the votes are being switched?

There are many places where votes can be switched. A well designed machine could be reliable and tamper-proof. But there is no political interest in such technologies.

For example, here is some code fragment in Perl:

my $vote = GetVote(); # Returns 0 or 1
ShowMyVote($vote); # Show the voter what is registered
RecordVote(@vote); # Save the vote onto the Flash card

See anything fishy here? Hint: '$' and '@' are not the same thing. @vote will return 0, even if $vote is set to 1:

Holder and/or his replacement under Obama won't investigate unless he feels black democrats have had their vote switched.

Congress can inquire into the matter. States can investigate. Sheriffs can too.

But it's going to take a Republican President to really put adequate controls into place.

As I posted in another thread, our grade school polling place in Montgomery County, MD, had at least three machines taken out of service. Two of them were machines that my wife tried to vote on, but they switched R to D. My machine was fine. The pubby poll watcher told me that there was another taken out of service earlier that morning.

The guy from the Bd of Elections told us that her nails were doing it. Nonsense. She had just gotten a manicure and wears her nails short.
