So let's suppose that, heaven forbid, she's at restaurant or a movie theater and she gets a fever. Is she automatically aware of that the instant it occurs? And how then does she get home?

Well, I was wondering what to do this weekend, lol. I’ll start looking at the Feds power to quarantine...circumstances, history, etc. I’m not being sarcastic...that is my plan.
Even though from what I read, this isn’t a Federal quarantine..it is at the state level.
Hey. let me know what you find...I would be upset if the Govt started to ‘quarantine” people without good reason.

Looks like the power does exist...although seldom used. State quarantine laws vary from state to state.
I’m sure the rational used to quarantine this nurse (as opposed to travelers from the region, which would be a good idea imho) was her direct exposure to the virus.
That is the bottom line.
There was a large number of professionals in Dallas that treated Duncan (aside from the two nurses that were affected) that were quarantined.
Funny thing...they all complied rather than expose their loved ones and innocent strangers. I don’t believe for and instant that these folks were “yippee” about it...but they acted responsibly. Nobody to date has tested positive.
