I grew up in Montana. I think the greatest security that this lab has is that anybody infected there will either die or get well before they drive long enough to find anyone else. Or maybe it is surrounded by irate Montanans who are not happy hosting an ebola lab that are ready to shoot anyone that stumbles out of that lab with a fever.

For those in the UK not familiar with the state of Montana it is 1.5 times the size of the UK at 380,800 km2 and has a population density of under 3 per km2 where the UK has 97 times the population density.

The study was at the University of Washington, not Washington University. I think it’s a very hopeful study. Perhaps the relatives of Thomas Duncan should get their genes tested, also the medical personnel who survived Ebola.
