AeroMobil. Beautiful flying car. Beautifully integrated. Transforms in seconds from an automobile to an airplane. Gives you freedom to move.
AeroMobil is a flying car that perfectly makes use of existing infrastructure created for automobiles and planes, and opens doors to real door-to-door travel. As a car it fits into any standard parking space, uses regular gasoline, and can be used in road traffic just like any other car. As a plane it can use any airport in the world, but can also take off and land using any grass strip or paved surface just a few hundred meters long.

Also PAL-V

But my personal favorite is the Hoveribke, because it looks like I could blast some Ewoks on Endor with it.

It is one of those inventions that makes neither a good automobile nor a good airplane. Sometimes there is no good combination that is good at both.

Road -- Bumpers? Airbags? Crash Safety? DOT compliant in anyway?

Flight -- Weak range, 1 passenger, any baggage/payload?

A bad airplane that converts into a terrible car. What's not to like?

Alternative: Drive your own car (any KIA would be better) to your local airport, fly your far better Cessna 172 to your destination, RENT A CAR there.

I bet they will handle these like Ultr-Lights in the 80’s.

Couple of spectacular crashes and deaths and the FAA will setp in with onerous regulation and take all the fun out of owning one or more.
