Democratic Kansas secretary of state hopeful Jean Schodorf pulled into a tie with Republican incumbent Kris Kobach with the election a week away, a new poll showed.
A survey for KSN Television in Wichita found Schodorf and Kobach tied at 45 percent, with the balance undecided.

I hope you are right Doodledawg.
Like I have said, I am glad Kris Kobach didn't get that Senate Nomination, he is doing much more good as Secretary of State.
America will solve her problems on the state and local levels.
That is why these races are so important.
‘Rat Secretaries of State are like polonium tea to the sanctity of the electoral process.
Maybe. Maybe not. Kansas is insane. The media has been demonizing Kobach non-stop for years now -- the equivalent of daily free campaign ads for the Democrats.
Kansas seems to be going through a very weird time right now. Did it just recently absorb an invasion of lefturds from Colorado?
Kobach never ran for Senate. He got beaten by Dennis Moore in a 2004 race for the Kansas 3rd Congressional seat.
No. A Civil War in the Kansas GOP was won by the Brownback wing of the party over the last 2 election cycles. The losing side is just looking for payback.
I would tend to agree if not I want to know what Kansas Conservatives/Republicans are smoking. If you didn’t like Obama by 59% in 2012 how in the hell can these voters think voting for Democrats is the answer given the state of the nation? GOP voters that don’t think national are idiots.
Kansas does have “Liberal” founded for just that reason. And former residents the Dunham imposters and FMD.
Good Catch Doodledawg!
That is why you shouldn't FReep while sitting at a red light :P
Big problem with polls, especially those in KS, plenty folk no longer have land lines so never polled and not counted in the mix.
Lastly, and no small thing, Kansans, especially dislike Obama and all that he stands for!
Even my mushy women friends, who only want "nice talk, no mean ads, if you please," while they watch Oprah, loathe and detest Obama!
A second glance at story in the KC (Red) Star, is quoting polls from Wichita, which I seriously suspect include those receiving government benefits with land lines sitting at home and even among many of those, either rarely if ever vote or in this case could not qualify to vote because of their actual citizenship status!
As a Kansan, I have to ask how this is even possible.
This is a SurveyUSA poll. IIRC, their accuracy and credibility are questionable. The other polls show Kobach pulling away (cited in the article). I saw this poll which also had Roberts and Brownback losing in the Topeka Capital Journal this morning. My first thought was the MSM creating a story keep the morale of the Democrata up.
If that was their purpose then you think they'd rig the poll to put Roberts and Brownback slightly ahead. That way they'd encourage the Dems and the Independents and the moderate Republicans that they need to get out to the polls.
The Democrats that I know here in Kansas don't really think that they are going to win those three races. They assume that the wandering Rs will return on election day. They have seen some recent polls which have shown the movement towards Roberts and Brownback which fuels their fears. This poll encourages them that maybe, just maybe, the tide isn't coming in after all.
IMO, if the polls are being selectively reported, a poll showing a slight lead for Roberts and Brownback would be interpreted by the Democrats as further evidence that the tide they fear is rolling in. I think that your suggestion would decrease, not increase, Democrat turnout.
I don’t think Kobach will lose. The best poll they had was the poll that had his handling of Chad Taylor at 46% disapproval.
There is no point having halfway enforcement of voting laws.
Kobach of all people had 50 illegals on his doorstep whipped up by the Kansas media and Soros style front group.
There are people who wont admit to voting for Kobach because they dont know if the caller is fishing for someone to attack.
