Since Melton John is married to his husband rather than call him Sir John shouldn’t he instead be called Lady John?

I don’t know, he calls his queer his husband, I think that pretty much affirms Melton is a catcher, not a pitcher. As if I care one way or another.

Interestingly, Elton does feel regret that his son will never have a mother. This is not the same as wanting to go to confession, but it does mean that there are the whisperings of a conscience in there, somewhere.

I see your point. I think what they are forgetting is the REPENT part. No church that holds the bible as the Word of God can ever say, “we welcome you and encourage you to continue living the way you have been.”
