Their reaction, at least for State Farm in Texas, has been to continue to raise my premium every year, even though my car keeps getting one year older. Haven’t had an accident nor speeding ticket in at least fifteen years and drive less than 200 miles a week. The sickening things is that my insurance agent is also my Texas Representative and has an (R) behind his name. Asked him about the rate increases - his response was that I could get a “record all and tell all” black box in my car and then they would reduce the cost 10%. Thanks but no thanks because Texas has never addressed the issue of who has access to that information and for what purpose. His response was that if I didn’t like the law, to talk to them in DC about it because it was their law.
