Illinois joined New York and New Jersey in imposing mandatory quarantines for people arriving with a risk of having contracted Ebola in West Africa, but the first person isolated under the new rules, a nurse returning from Sierra Leone, called her treatment a "frenzy of disorganisation".
Kaci Hickox, who arrived at Newark airport in New Jersey on Friday, described hours of questioning by officials in protective gear and what she said was a mis-diagnosis of fever, followed by a transfer to a hospital isolation tent.
"I ... thought of many colleagues who will return home to America and face the same ordeal. Will they be made to feel like criminals and prisoners?" she wrote.
"I am scared that, like me, they will arrive and see a frenzy of disorganisation, fear and, most frightening, quarantine," wrote Hickox, who was working for the medical charity Doctors Without Borders in Sierra Leone.

Dear Ms Hickox, it's not about you.
What does she expect,
for she — only a nurse-angel serving —
is not EXEMPT
like Obola, Boehner-the-Enabler, Congress,
... and of course THEIR families and staff.
We do what we have to in order to save lives and keep people in good condition. If you think that’s so terrible, tough luck.
No Honey, you were treated like a potential health threat, which you were. Now it’s time to treat you like a moron. Do you see a pattern?
Oh yes it is. Just ask her!
What should be frightening to people, is that this is the cooperation you can expect from certain groups, even when the general health of the populace is at stake.
ME ME ME ME ME ME ME ME!!!!!!
Don’t want to be quarantined? Don’t go to Africa.....pretty simple concept. I understand wanting to help people, and spread the gospel. But there are enough people in your home town that need or want help to keep you occupied for decades. Without going to a disease ridden third world country. I can’t understand how anyone would want to.
This nurse is such a whiner.
Please shut up.
I’m sorry this interfered with your schedule for 21 days.
That is terrible. But America needs to be protected. Just stop complaining.
Bingo!! On the mark!
Oh well, Ebola is here. Could likely be in rodent population in NY city. Never gonna get rid of it now. Thanks Obola, that’s what Ebola “my entire life is a lie” Barry Soetoro Obama is gonna be known for. Forever. Sweet, sweet justice would be if he caught it, and spread it to Jarrett, and all the democrats in congress, and for some reason it’s a zero survival rate. Sweet sweet ironic justice.
Not exempt from this, you little prick.
It occurs to me, the people who occupy her home territory, may very well be the people who encouraged her to “help” people on a far away plot of land. They may have even paid for her to go away and “help” someone else.
I think a quarantine here in US would be more comfortable than Africa, so what is she whining about?
I didn’t think about that. I would certainly encourage anyone as dangerous and reckless as this broad to do the same.
Even better, how about visit the VA or be glad you didn’t have to lose limbs or actually turn up sick and get tons of IVs stuck in you. Such a prick.
This t**t looks like a true-blue hard core liberal. “Good for thee, but not for me”!!
She’s special...
If this is the attitude of the very people who we entrust with our care.... We’re screwed.
Honey, you CHOSE to go to w.afrca and serve these unfortunate people. Part of that is doing what you can to not spread the disease any further.
What an INCREDIBLY selfish human being.
Rodent population..., oh you mean the four legged kind. Okay, I get it.
Yes, it would be interesting if he were to catch what he has so recklessly allowed to come here. I don’t necessarily blame him for the first one, but knowing the risk to keep allowing flights in...
Does anyone remember when you were asked to stay home from school or work because you had measles, chicken pox, etc?
They score more brownie points amongst their do-gooder peers for going to the “heathen”.
