Dear Ms Hickox, it's not about you.
What does she expect,
for she — only a nurse-angel serving —
is not EXEMPT
like Obola, Boehner-the-Enabler, Congress,
... and of course THEIR families and staff.
We do what we have to in order to save lives and keep people in good condition. If you think that’s so terrible, tough luck.
No Honey, you were treated like a potential health threat, which you were. Now it’s time to treat you like a moron. Do you see a pattern?
Oh yes it is. Just ask her!
What should be frightening to people, is that this is the cooperation you can expect from certain groups, even when the general health of the populace is at stake.
This nurse is such a whiner.
Please shut up.
I’m sorry this interfered with your schedule for 21 days.
That is terrible. But America needs to be protected. Just stop complaining.
This t**t looks like a true-blue hard core liberal. “Good for thee, but not for me”!!
Funny how the media is playing down her employment, at least until very recently, at the CDC. I wonder why?

Maybe she’s mad because Obama didn’t invite her to the White House, like he did that other NURSE, Nina Pham.
I'm not a fan of volunteerism. It would've been much better for Ebola-infected countries if dogooders had trained locals to take care of themselves. They won't do it for themselves? Let the principles of Darwin stop its spread. If they want to help, let them do the Mother Teresa thing and live there.
That she would put her personal convenience above the safety of US citizens is reprehensible. If she wants to be angry at anyone, it should be that doctor who came back from there, didn't self-quarantine, and then came down with Ebola.
Do I sound cruel? Whatever. But being objective, nobody benefits when Ebolas spreads to unaffected countries and "ground zero" citizens still can't take care of themselves.
The gov't response to Ebola has been "Keystone Cops" mixed in with "The Three Stooges". Gov't decisions (and indecisions) frighten me much more than Ebola.
Whine, whine, whine.... Is 25 days really too much to handle. You can show symptoms for up to 21 days after coming in contact with an Ebola patient. And that’s how long anybody, nurse, doctor, or whomever should have to wait before you can even leave an Ebola infected country. Not a day less. Sorry for the inconvenience young lady, but there are lives at stake. As a nurse, you should understand that and stop your pathetic complaints.
Comment on Dallas Morning News site:
“She missed her cruise!”
The inescapable points this woman should know:
- Welcome to government incompetence, kid. It is incapable of running a nation of this size.
- You could have Ebola and could kill thousands as a result. That is why you are detained.
This girl is going to be the new poster-child for ‘stupid is, as stupid does’.
The sad fact is that she was treated as a biohazard WMD, which in perspective, she was one.
A compassionate, thinking leadership that prepares for this sort of imminent threat could have prepared more humane conditions for her however.
HA! Like this regime is going to do that...
She needs to be completely shunned, professionally and personally.
What a selfish, leftist b-word.
I hope someday she gets what she deserves. And tweets about it.
Forehead temperatures are notorious for being off, but usually they read too low.
Her oral temperature was 98.6, but oral temperatures can be false negative is you had recently taken a drink of cold water or are a mouth breather, (or false positive if you had drank a cup of coffee)
The third way to measure is in the armpit, but again this often reads too low.
If she wanted to prove she had no temperature, she should have used the “gold standard” to check her temperature: A rectal thermometer reading.
The blood test was “negative” but sometimes doesn't turn positive right away.
A person in contact with ebola deserves quarantine in a hospital. An afrebrile person in contact needs home quarantine, but given the fact that the hippie doc was traveling around even though he felt sick shows that even doctors can break the ban at home quarantine.
