Marcelo Marquez allegedly shot and killed a Sacramento County Sheriff's Deputy and a Placer County Sheriff's Deputy, and also allegedly shot and wounded a second Placer County deputy and a civilian on Friday. On Saturday, authorities revealed that the suspect -- real name, Luis Enrique Monroy-Bracamonte -- had already been deported twice from the United States.
According to Sacramento's KCRA, he was "sent back in to Mexico in 1997 and again in 2001."
The 1997 deportation was the result of "conviction in Arizona...on charges of possession of narcotics for sale." He was arrested stateside in 2001 as well.

Gosh, bet the Mexican Consul is already on the phone with prosecutors demanding that the death penalty be taken off the table for this Mexican citizen, that a member of the Consul be present at any interview and the other load of BS that always occurs when one of Mexico’s finest are caught.

‘course, if they had shot one of their prized liberals, the outrage would be focused on the already banned sexy rifle the suspect used, and how more laws need to be put in place.
Gosh, what about the law of ‘you can’t shoot officers’? A shame that law doesn’t exist, as of course, the illegal would have followed that one, like he followed driving with a license, followed driving while insured, followed gun laws that forbid felons from owning them...

I notice lack of outrage at many things now.
It’s their strategy. One can’t possibly be outraged all of the time. I am amazed at how one crisis/scandal removes the previous one from the limelight.
The porous border was major just a few weeks ago. It’s since been replaced by ISIS and ebola. I hope someone is keeping a list, because every now and again I am reminded of yet another scandal of the past, and I think, “Oh ya, I totally forgot all about that!”
Also how amazing it was at the SLOWNESS of the media to even report it the first time. Saw it in FR long before TV.
I am bumping this for some renewed attention. I know that Sunday is a slow day here, but this is BIG news that could help sway the election.
The media is trying to bury this, but why is there not outrage among police around the country?
I was watching for some word on this all week-end and all that I was able to find out was that he was born in Mexico and had a gang tattoo.
