For the life of me, I can’t imagine why Reza is sympathetic to the United States views after the treatment his dad got during the Carter “fiasco years”.

For one thing, I’d have hunted Carter down for what he did to my dad if I were Reza.

Here was a man, our ally, and Carter not only helped get him kicked out of Iran, he refused to allow him to come to the U. S. for cancer treatment. Here was the Shah, very ill, transferring from country to country seeking treatment. It still angers me 35 years later.

I’ll never forget how the “Christian” Carter treated the Shah. As a Christian, Carter was and is a fraud.

The Shah was a murderous tyrant and placing him in power after the CIA-led overthrow of the democratically-elected Mosaddegh was one of the greatest foreign policy travesties the United States has ever been a part of.
