When it comes to Barack Obama, I've always been out of sync. Back in 2008, when many liberals were wildly enthusiastic about his candidacy and his press was strongly favorable, I was skeptical.
. . .
Yes, Obama has a low approval rating compared with earlier presidents. But there are a number of reasons to believe that presidential approval doesn't mean the same thing that it used to ...

“This is what a successful presidency looks like.”
Just wondering what an unsuccessful presidency looks like to Krugman
Krugman would have been very fond of Nero’s hanging human lamp’s and lionshows!
The man is so out of sync with reality that I’m convinced he’s on some very expensive illegal drugs.
While I was teaching one of my students, I saw the latest issue of Rolling Stone on the coffee table with the Lyin’ King’s ugly mug on the cover. There was also, in the same issue, an article excoriating the Tea Party. I placed the 20 pound guitar amp right on top of the magazine and proceeded to teach “Angie” to my 13 year old guitar student.
Then I told her that the Rolling Stones were a Rock Band that is still in business after a half century, and the “Tea Party” was a night club in Boston where I saw Led Zeppelin for the first time.
I think she liked MY Rolling Stones and Tea Party better than what was in the magazine.
That magazine USED to be about music.
successful presidency?
wow, that man needs to see a shrink and an eye doctor
Paul Krugman in the end will be:
“a nameless number on a list that was afterwards mislaid.”
Famous quote from Dr. Zhivago about Lara disappearing. He is even less memorable than her.
WHO cares what he says OR thinks.
The “successes” of Obama’s presidency are precisely why Rush Limbaugh wanted him to fail.
George Bush’s.
