Locked in a dead heat, Shaheen, Brown spar (new poll shows Brown ahead by 1%)
The New Hampshire Union Leader ^ | October 21, 2014 | Dan Tuohy

The U.S. Senate candidates sparred in their first televised debate Tuesday as part of a cliff-hanger of a race that could shift the balance of power in Washington.

Democratic incumbent Jeanne Shaheen and Republican Scott Brown debated energy, Ebola, immigration, jobs and the economy, national security and health care.

They were first asked to share their views of the U.S. response to the threat of Ebola. Brown said the U.S. needs a travel ban. "I'm thankful that Senator Shaheen broke with President Obama in that regard" and decided to support a travel ban, he said.

This is a big surprise, I didn’t think we’d get this one. I’m happy to be wrong. It could still go either way.

Brown is a moderate on open borders extremism.

Welcome news, if correct. I know Brown’s not exactly a beloved figure around these parts. I have my issues with him, too. But he was far and away better than either Coakley or Warren in Massachusetts, and he’ll better, much better, than Shaheen if he wins in New Hampshire.

Go get ‘em, Scotty.

NH Dummycrat Jean Shaheen was almost laughed off the debate stage......greeted w/ derisive laughter when she wobbled about her support for Obama--the Kerry way---tried to have it both ways

She giggled like cartoonish Elmer Fudd in response....rejection dawning....the exclusive Senate Club membership slipping out of her reach.

Scott came back smartly....w/ the stat showing Shaheen was a loyal Dummycrat lock-stepper---with Shaheen saluting smartly---party loyalty not seen since 1940's- era Europe....voting w/ Obama some 99% of the time..

==============================================

Scott is up 8 points on opposing amnesty.

SHAHEEN SUCKS-UP BIGTIME---VOTES FOR "COMMONSENSE, COMPREHENSIVE" IMMIGRATION BILL" June 27, 2013.

(FROM SHAHEEN'S OFFICIAL WEB SITE) “Commonsense immigration reform is the right thing for our economy and is long overdue,” Shaheen said. “The plan we passed today represents the right way forward. It puts the millions of undocumented immigrants who are already living in our country on a path toward citizenship, but not until after imposing strict penalties. And this plan will strengthen border security which will blunt the flow of persons entering our country illegally.”

=================================================

Among other atrocities, Shaheen voted: (1) to subsidizing the blood-thirsty La Raza w/ an annual $100 million tax dollars...renewable every year, (2) to exempting latino office-holders from US laws for committing crimes in office.

Whatever Brown’s issues are, and he’s got some.....he’s excellent on the immigration issue.

Meh, Sheehan’s race to lose. Brown is about 2-3 points down at this point, but the race is moving in the right direction.

If the Pubbies take NH, they’ll have 54 or 55 seats in the Senate, the Democrat disaster scenario.

Kristen Powers on special report had an excellent point about this election and the outcome . She said if the American people are so fed up with this administration, the President and DemocRATS then why are all the races super super tight? That’s why I do not believe polls or anybody saying they got this cat in the bag until election night. I’m afraid that the Republicans have not stated their case well enough to win the majority in the senate. The end result will be the rats keep the senate! The illegal immigration fiasco should’ve been a slamdunk for them instead they ran away from the subject and now they are in peril of even losing some seats!! People are pissed off and the Long knives are out for both parties! Unfortunately voters Will vote for the freebies and screw the national interest or the danger of the USA becoming a third world country...:(

There’s gonna be a BIG uptick in Colombia’s GDP if Brown wins, which he will.

Brown is a flaming liberal hypocrite. He is GOP establishment down the line. A true Karl Rove boy.

So, you’d rather have another commie take the seat? Is that your point? Brown would at least vote and caucus with the Republicans, and he’s the best we can get from NH. Some of you on here make me scratch my head in wonder - as I wonder what the alternative to voting for Scott is? Voting for another Marxist commie? I guess that’s the alternative. geesh!

Remember Mitt Romney’s “47 Percent Rule”? 47 percent of the electorate will vote DemocRAT no matter what. It’s the freebies... the entitlements.
