If you vote no on Measure 88, which would allow Oregon to assign driver’s cards to people who can’t (or just won’t) produce documents proving their legal residency in the United States, that’s exactly what you’ll be doing.
You’ll be just as horrible as groups like Protect Oregon Drivers Licenses and Oregonians for Immigration Reform, who have been spreading manure piles of misinformation about what’s actually at stake—including some unconscionable references to September 11.

Wehby is going to lose by 10 points and the anti-illegal ballot measure will probably win by 20 points. For instance, Romney won MOntana in 2012 with 55% of the vote but 80% of Montana rejected freebies for illegals with ballot measure LR121.

Progressives cannot use language simply to convey meaning. The meaning of a message is dependent on its political value:
Communication that helps the cause is valid communication.
Communication that does not help the cause is most likely bigotry. If it cannot be ascribed to bigotry, then it must be mere lunacy.
Communication that is neutral is wasted energy.

Did it occur to them that 40 other states do NOT give illegals a drivers license? Wouldn’t a 4 to 1 majority be far more persuasive?

If the loony lefties were honest, they would be looking at the true cost of illegals in this country instead of trying to sweep it under the rug.
1. Cost in $ to pay for education for illegals’ children
2. Cost in $ to pay for welfare for illegals.
3. Cost in $ to pay for translators for illegals.
4. Cost in $ to pay for other public assistance for illegals.
5. Cost in $ to each taxpayer for all of this.
6. Lives cost by diseases brought in by illegals (enterovirus, ebola, ... )
7. Cost in $ to pay for jail space to house illegal criminals.
8. Lives cost due to murders and DUI deaths by illegals.
9. Cost in $ to pay for jail space and additional police due to crimes committed by illegals.
10. Cultural deterioration caused by liberals trying to jam diversity down our throats. (If those other cultures are so wonderful, then why are people leaving them? I’m not against diversity of cultures, but I’d like to preserve my own and not have it overrun by someone else’s.)
11. Cost in lives ruined due to drug trafficking and sex crime by illegals.
That’s all I can think of off the top of my head.
Oregon is a beautiful state spoiled by too many commies, crazies, kooks, ecofreaks, criminals, liberals and Democrats. But I repeat myself, don’t I?

I was in D.C. recently and judging by the looks of things, I’m pretty sure the extent of driving experience for half the drivers and at least three quarters of the cabbies, up until this time last year, was driving motor scooters and ox carts.
