or because the Ebola Czar Ron Klaine has issued this to the press.... Even though: "“The White House has informed us that he has not yet officially started and will not be able to attend Friday,” the committee aide told Fox News."

I think its pretty convenient that Obama hires this democrat spin doctor at the same time guidance is issued to report only "confirmed" cases.

I do agree that everytime somebody vomits, it should not be reported. From Friday to Monday it appears there has been a media blackout on negative reporting on Ebola.

I completely agree.

Obama is involved in a re-election in two weeks. Not him personally, but his party, and they are completely on the wrong side about Ebola.

Two weeks people. I hope we don’t end up with a huge problem with Ebola, but it is very political now. The AP is very much supporting Obama. Has for his entire administration.

The AP is simply supporting Obama and the democrats.

Nothing more.

Perhaps the administration sees it as unfair to give Ebola all the credit for disease and death when there are in fact many new sicknesses in this country that they have invited from south of the border...

FLASH !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why AP isn’t moving stories for every suspected Ebola case

On Friday, the Associated Press posted an advisory to editors about suspected cases of Ebola, which they’re hearing of more and more. “The AP has exercised caution in reporting these cases and will continue to do so,” the advisory reads. Here’s the rest: Most of these suspected cases turn out to be negative. Our bureaus monitor them, but we have not been moving stories or imagery simply because a doctor suspects Ebola and routine precautions are taken while the patient is tested. To report such a case, we look for a solid source saying Ebola is suspected and some sense... [SNIP]

GOEBBELS’ PRINCIPLES OF PROPAGANDA

2. Propaganda must be planned and executed by only one authority.
a. It must issue all the propaganda directives.

b. It must explain propaganda directives to important officials and maintain their morale.

c. It must oversee other agencies’ activities which have propaganda consequences

13. Propaganda must be carefully timed.
a. The communication must reach the audience ahead of competing propaganda.

b. A propaganda campaign must begin at the optimum moment

c. A propaganda theme must be repeated, but not beyond some point of diminishing effectiveness

The narrative is that only crazy people are worried about Ebola but Obama is taking extra precautions to protect Americans from this terrible disease that shouldn’t concern us at all.

Damage control is in full swing under the guidance of the new “Ebola Czar”. His entire strategy for dealing with Ebola will be politicized and spun in favor of King Obama’s agenda, and will have absolutely nothing to do with infectious disease control.

Bring Out Your Dead

Post to me or FReep mail to be on/off the Bring Out Your Dead ping list.

The purpose of the “Bring Out Your Dead” ping list (formerly the “Ebola” ping list) is very early warning of emerging pandemics, as such it has a high false positive rate.

So far the false positive rate is 100%.

At some point we may well have a high mortality pandemic, and likely as not the “Bring Out Your Dead” threads will miss the beginning entirely.

*sigh* Such is life, and death...

Obama utterly failed in his most basic responsibility, to keep America safe. He is the Chief Executive in charge. Ebola was a known threat. His policies allowed it to come to the US. Obama cannot hide behind congress, or behind some bureaucrat. Obama owns this abject failure. May his soul burn in hell.

It seems that this is simply responsible journalism. Do we really want screaming headlines every time someone vomits or has a fever? Over-sensationalizing these false alarms is counterproductive. Glad to hear some amount of vetting is going on.

we will seek to keep our stories brief and in perspectiveThe new mouthpiece can't attend Ebola meetings but he sure can dictate to the press. The only way the next couple dozen case are getting reported will be by rumor or third rate news sources.

It's not just the media.

Actor Is Self-Monitoring For Ebola Symptoms

[Blind Gossip] This award-winning comic actor is probably best known for a character he played on a popular 1970s television show.

He was a passenger on the same plane as the Ebola-infected nurse from Texas. He is currently under voluntary quarantine at home and is self-monitoring to make sure that he shows no symptoms of the disease.

While other passengers have disclosed on social media that they were on the flight as the nurse, or flew on the same plane after her, our actor has not. Given that he is a performer who loves attention and is always detailing his life on Twitter to his many follower, it’s interesting that he has been silent about this. Is it because he is an avid Obama supporter and doesn’t want to do anything that might cause people to lose confidence in the President?
