Body camera footage from a Texas cops perspective shows the officer making kissing noises at two dogs, who wag their tails at the human, before he opens fire and kills one.
The second pit bull, tracked down in Cleburne, Texas, was captured without incident by an animal control officer but the killing of the dog has the city investigating the incident after an uproar in the city of 30,000 people some 30 miles south of Fort Worth.
The 22-second clip, uploaded Friday onto YouTube, shows a brown pup and another dark colored dog milling about in a grassy ditch near a culvert. The officer can be heard calling to the animals with little kissing noises, causing the pups to perk up and start wagging their tails as the unidentified male officer approaches

And, just like that, all the good cop news is forgotten.
Good cops need to get people like this fired, quickly
Ping.
Ah, how many outraged know the whole story? Still, he should have let animal control trap the dogs, if possible.
3 dogs
“The first dog, not shown in the short clip, was not aggressive towards the officer”
The dog approached and appeared friendly. The dog jumped on my chest and licked my face.
“After putting the friendly dog in its backyard, the officer eventually came upon the other two dogs seen in the video.”
“The women reporting the dogs told cops the animals were frequently out disturbing neighbors. In this instance, the pups had been aggressive to an elderly woman sitting a car, even attempting to bite one while snapping and growling, the report obtained by the paper indicates.”
Here’s the difference between the cop and that dog.
Someone is going to miss that dog.
You’re right. You’ll find great people and real meat sticks in any profession. LEOs are in the spotlight way too much lately for over-militarization, excessive force, questionable shootings, etc. They can’t afford sh... er ... “stuff” like this. They need to be zealous in policing themselves.
And this pos can’t take the time to call animal control?
This is why I am extra cautious not to let my dogs get out.
The dairy farmers around here will shoot anything that disturbs their livestock. I can’t say I blame them.
It is my responsibility to keep my dogs safe.
According to this logic... every school teacher is a pedophile. You read about it once a week, right?
The pounds are full of pit bulls, nearly all of which will be put down because no one will adopt them.
People say all sorts of things to Officers. The individual who called “said” one thing - the “Officer” responded and addressed the “friendly” dog putting it up.
What appears to be no aggression from the other dogs would make one question if she just had a problem with them.
Tyrone will adopt them as an accessory to go with his gold chains and baggy jeans.
I don’t trust them because I don’t know who raised them. My mother has the sweetest pit you ever laid eyes on. Wouldn’t hurt a flea. Scared to death of being scolded.
But I pity anyone who would attack my mother while that dog was around.
Pitbulls are the most friendly dogs, unlike yappy and mean poodles and schnauzers..
Could be a lot of these cops had never seen a gun before they enlisted...After all that practice at the range, shooting something 'live' can give them real life experience...Not to mention the power trip that may come with carrying a deadly weapon...
“the pups had been aggressive to an elderly woman sitting a car, even attempting to bite one while snapping and growling, the report obtained by the paper indicates.
‘Pups’ ( plural), ‘elderly woman’ (singular), ‘attempting to bite one’ would indicate there was more than one ‘something’ available to be bitten.
“Elderly woman attempts to bite pitbull” - Details at 11.
I have killed many animals. Deer, squirrels, ducks, etc. etc.
But I never killed anything with a name. And every time I kill a deer, I crouch down to it, I put my hand one it, I thank it for sacrificing, and I look up to the Lord and thank the Lord.
I’ve killed countless animals, but I can’t see how someone would kill for the thrill.
Another POS dog killer. Nice house, right in the background. Maybe if the loser missed and hit a rock and hurt someone it would be a bigger issue. A richocet back in his face would of worked too. Your fired!
“But I never killed anything with a name.”
I used to name all the hogs I raised to eat. I’d even take pictures of them to set on the table at dinner.
Name or not, they are just food.
Yup, and the effin’ cop will probably get a medal for his heroism and bravery . . .
