CNN has canceled multiple series. Per Deadline,Crossfire has officially been canceled. The series, a CNN staple from 1982-2005, relaunched in September 2013, earned low ratings until it went on hiatus in May. The show briefly returned in July, then went on hiatus again. CNN is also canceling Sanjay Gupta M.D, CNN Money With Christine Romans and Unguarded With Rachel Nichols. All three anchors will remain with the network.
With a bit of luck, CNN will go on hiatus. That network is a waste of bandwidth.
Deck chairs. Titanic.
I wonder when Erin will get the axe?
I wonder if they’re going to put on more forensic files re-runs for all of these time slots, too.
Dinosaur Media Deathwatch Alert
But why? With High Lord “I cured Ebola” Obama in power Cnn’s ratings are at their highest point ever! They buried Fox in every time slot with every Demo! Clearly this is the work of the Koch Bros!
/Later tonight on MSNBC
All 3 viewers are upset about it too.
How many people still watch Cable News Network???
You wonder how CNN and MSNBC can stay in business with such low ratings.
CNN is better than MSNBC, but that isn’t saying much.
What is the see in in you speak of ?
That four-eyed British ponce with the CNN morning finance show survived?
Remember when he was arrested for methamphetamine possession while getting a rusty trombone from a wino in Central Park? He had a rope around his neck that was tied to his genitals and at booking they found a dildo in his boot. I did say ‘boot’.
I’m no CNN fan but they did just launch a new show with Mike Rowe called Somebody’s Gotta Do It which looks great beacuse they pretty much told Mike, who is a great guy, he could do whatever he wanted. And last year they started Parts Unknown with Anthony Bourdain which is also good. What those two have in common is neither has anything to do with the News. They are basically stealing success from the Discovery/Travel folks who make money to try to stem the bleeding of their news failure.
Well maybe now Dr. Gupta has time to go to Liberia, and help treat all those Ebola patients he thinks he knows so much about.
Geeesh. If the upper mgrs think the programing sucks, wait for a make over, lamb in sheep clothing type deal.
For example, this new POS seires they started ROOTS.
I don’t give a crap about their “Talking Heads” roots.
Most are there(at CNN) because of affirmative Blah Blah Blah,Homo/lesbo Blah Blah Blah & the list goes on
They would improve their ratings for those slots if they putt reruns of “Keeping up with the Kardashians” in them.
and stuff like post #13 likes......
And yet, it’s on all the time at my dr’s office. If it’s ever on when I’m at a gate in an airport, I just get up and turn it off. No one has ever turned it back on.
They get by because cable operators include them in basic cable packages that give them a slice of cable rates regardless of whether anyone watches. A la carte cable pricing will destroy them.

And that indeed is next — already people are abandoning Cable and Satellite for Hulu, Amazon, Netflix and others that allow cafeteria watching.
Just like many people today are dropping Land lines in favor of 100% cell, scheduled programming is on its way out (frankly I just DVR what I like and watch it at my leisure).
