New York still has factories?

I thought all that remained of NY State was the financial industry sucking off the Fed and massive government debt, and the rest of the state, which resembled appalachia.

The probably count “delicatessen” as a factory.

The way I see it, you do not encourage investment in manufacturing or any other enterprise by crippling existing businesses with rapacious, confiscatory tax and regulatory burdens, while offering (at least until they pull it back in the next assmbly) newcomers the breaks that will destroy the competitiveness of the existing idiots that should have left Noo Yawk decades ago.

Only rats can concoct such ass-brained schemes.

Any businessman with an IQ over room temperature would just laugh at the notion.

There are still somewhat more business friendly climates available—like Hong Kong overseas or TX here.

The rats are just watching the nation burn and pouring whatever combustibles they can get their rat paws on to increase the inferno.

This is not just being in a foul mood for a day, I have watched this for decades—it never abates, and, it will never change. We need a pied piper and De-con applied to every community to eliminate the rat infestation before (it already is) it is too late.

Someone cue up Carly Simon for the closing number.

NormsRevenge:" What happened to the StartUp.NY campaign?"

presidential ambitions for Cuomo are beign sucked down as we speak; I don't think PaPa Cuomo's political machine can help all that much .
The "StartUp.NY campaign" paid big bucks for advertizing, and was shown in even "tax-free" States.
That campaign only "Screwed the Pooch" as resentments rose from companies already in NYS, while offering '10 years Tax-Free in NY' to new companies comming into the State.
The more Andy talks , and refuses to answer about his pending Federal Investigation, and refuses to debate (R)Asterino, the more his numbers sink.
Enterovirus-68 in NYC and on Long Island, and support for "Open Borders", may have cost him many votes for reelection.

Cuomo still polls way ahead of Astorino. But the difference has slowly been narrowing from a gap of 41 points now down to about 23 points over the past 9 months (source: http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2014/governor/ny/new_york_governor_astorino_vs_cuomo-4177.html)

The ten-year tax reduction? Not enough deregulation to make it worthwhile, is my guess, never mind Prince Andrew’s loose-cannon declaration that conservatives (especially religious ones) were unwelcome in the state.

Huh.. Funny, the last time I looked out my window, traffic was sucking pretty bad.

Oh, wait, this is New York. I’m in Dallas.
