Anita Sarkeesian has shown up for speaking engagements amidst terror threats before.
But after learning that Utah State University was legally forbidden from restricting firearms at a Wednesday lecture over which she received a death threat, the nationally-known feminist writer and video game critic canceled her appearance.
"Sarkeesian asked if weapons will be permitted at the speaking venue," according to a statement released late Tuesday by USU. "Sarkeesian was informed that, in accordance with the State of Utah law regarding the carrying of firearms, if a person has a valid concealed firearm permit and is carrying a weapon, they are permitted to have it at the venue."
Sarkeesian confirmed, via Tweet: "Forced to cancel my talk at USU after receiving death threats because police wouldn’t take steps to prevent concealed firearms at the event."

Actually there are a lot of questions out today suggesting that this woman is making the threats to herself using dummy Twitter and email accounts to pursue her own agenda and to draw attention to herself.

She would prefer a venue where only terrorist, criminals and lawbreakers were armed.

An email to Utah State University threatened “the deadliest school shooting in American history” if the school did not cancel a lecture Wednesday morning by a well-known feminist writer and video game critic.
Feminists have ruined my life, and I will have my revenge, for my sake and the sake of all others they’ve wronged,” read the message from a sender who claimed to be a USU student.
The message threatened to rain gunfire and shrapnel upon a lecture by Sarkeesian, who created a feminist video blog and a video series on misogyny in video games. She was scheduled to speak at 11:30 a.m. at the Taggart Student Center Auditorium.
“A Montreal Massacre style attack will be carried out,” warned the message, sent to multiple departments and individuals around campus. “I have at my disposal a semi-automatic rifle, multiple pistols, and a collection of pipe bombs.”
She’s probably not familiar with - and likely scared of - gun culture. Given some of the mass killings which have happened over the last few years, I can understand her cancelling her speech.

Had to look her up. Looks like this 30 year old Canadian has created a profitable niche for herself in the victim racket. And since the FBI has been investigating alleged threats to her one might think that the “harassers” will be easily located.
Ohh! If only, if only there was a large NSA type facility in Utah to help out.
She gets a lot more anti-gun publicity by canceling.
Good. Her ilk engages in shouting conservatives down all the time. Now she gets shut down and no one had to raise their voice.
She’s nationally known because she’s mocked relentlessly for her poorly argued points.

Awfully formal English for a "USU student." Also a somewhat dated reference, for a USU student of the expected age, to the "Montreal Massacre." I suspect it is just more Gamergate blather, although it may be a false-flag operation.
It probably is just a threat. The Gamergate trolls have reached unbelievable levels with rape / death threats.
They could be empty words from behind a screen but they could also not be.

The same type of “threat” was used by her and Chelsea van Valkenburg(aka “Zoe Quinn) regarding the Gamergate controversy.
Exactly. The veritable flood of “deaths” to radical leftists is hardly ever supported by evidence of any sort and the only follow ups reveal the so called threat was made or created by the alleged “victim”.
Time for cops to be filing charges on every POS clown that pulls this crap and revealing them in pressers.
