The Coming Stock Market Crash and The Death of Money with Jim Rickards
Youtube ^ | 09/18/14

Jim Rickards, the Financial Threat and Asymmetric Warfare Advisor for both the Pentagon and CIA.

Recently, all 16 branches of our Intelligence Community have come together to release a shocking report.

These agencies, that include the CIA, FBI, Army, and Navy, they've already begun to estimate the impact of the fall of the dollar as the global reserve currency.

And our reign as the world's leading super power being annihilated in a way equivalent to the end of the British Empire, post-World War II.

And the end game could be a nightmarish scenario, where the world falls into an extended period of global anarchy.

Jim Rickards fears he and his colleagues' warnings are being ignored by our political leaders and the Federal Reserve, and we're on the verge of entering the darkest economic period in our nation's history.

One that will ignite a 25-year Great Depression.

I am merely saying, Americans have been selling out our very own country now for more than one full generation.

Both parties.

Everyone. Someone needs to stand up for American jobs for a change.

I (very much) hope the GOP will be the party to stand up for America.

Thus far, nobody has.

GOP wake the heck up.

Well said Expat. It's worth repeating that it's not just corporate taxation and regulation that is causing the problem.

For instance: Obamacare all by itself is wiping out discretionary spending amongst vast swathes of the American middle class.

I example corporate taxation and regulation because they represent the most obvious, undeniable declarations by the US Govt that it is actively hostile to business. But they're not the only barriers that the Government has raised.

America needs to bring back industry.

That's part of the bigger problem, globalism. The whole world needs to go back to defended and defined borders, using troops to defend themselves and not to promote globalist regime change schemes and promoting and striving for self sufficiency.

Look at our history...every 50 years or so...Revolutionary War, War of 1812, Civil War, WW1,WW2, Current terrorist/invasion crisis.

So what is DC doing? Exporting jobs and importing disease and terrorists. Brilliant.

I see.

You would like FReepers to adopt an emotional stance towards the general concept of supporting American industry.

However you don’t appear to be keen on defining your position to specifics. For instance: you don’t seem to advocate reducing the crushing tax and regulatory burden on American industry.

Could it be that you are in fact hoping for the imposition of massive tax hikes on foreign imports?

Well I am for returning American industry.

Now.

We need industry and we need jobs. Someone needs to advocate for American growth.

I certainly hope the GOP will lead that. I have seen absolutely zero evidence thus far, however, that the GOP will stand up for American jobs.

Not one person. I really worry, the Dems will stand up first.

That would suck.

If you have ever watched a Clinton or an Obama give a speech, or a Benny Hin or Jim Baker preach, or the Shamwow huckster on that television “infomercial” talking people into buying pieces of cheap felt at high prices, and all your inner alarm bells were ringing as you watched, and your gut feelings were telling you “Be careful! Huckster, huckster, huckster...” then you know how I feel right now, after watching a bit of this “financial expert.”

There already is panic buying of certain items.

It won’t take too many cases when we will see panic buying of food.

If you’ve ever seen panic buying of food before a hurricane you know what I mean by panic buying of food.

I’ve seen people panic buying before a hurricane and you wouldn’t believe people could be that stupid.

$600 of meat, 12 gallons of milk, 25 bread, 10 dozen eggs, 5 or 6 heads of lettuce and the same for other fresh produce, on and on with no way to eat it before it goes bad even with electricity and no way to keep it when the electricity does go out.

Has the God of Israel ever permitted the fall of a righteous nation?

If we fall, it will be because we deserve it.

True, --it's my thinking that Obomacare is primarily a tax on business.  It's businesses that are pleading for waivers and it's the populace masses that are forcing businesses to pay everyone's medical bills.

Why do you continue to spout bumper sticker slogans instead of addressing the issues of burdensome taxes and regulations?

America needs to be for American businesses. American businesses, who hire Americans, in America.

Fine; let's go with that.  Having American businesses hiring more Americans (in America even) means we don't want to force businesses to take money away from new hiring and instead have to pay for new import tax hikes and goofy gov't managed health care.  End those two and our businesses will hire more.

Well said. Screw this citizen of the planet crap. Our military should not be a global force for good. We need to pull back and defend ourselves from the onslaught of globalists, intent on dragging us down to a poverty status just to make things fair.

tx. We're hearing an awful lot from the tax'n'spend folks and sometimes it seems they're the majority. Maybe not; maybe they're just a very loud minority.

I used to get this same drivel in print decades ago. The only thing that has changed is the delivery system.
