More than two dozen lawmakers want the United States government to ban travelers from the West African countries hit hardest by the Ebola virus until the outbreak is under control.
Twenty-three Republican and three Democratic members of the U.S. House of Representatives signed a letter released on Thursday to President Barack Obama asking the State Department to impose a travel ban and restrict visas issued to citizens of Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone.

Damn right! Way past time for this, unless epidemic is on Obama's agenda.
You’re the lawmakers - who’s stopping you?
a couple dozen is a long way from 535...
Getting aid to the Ebola affected African nations is NOT the political rationale keeping this administration from blocking travel from affected nations. Money . . .investments involved in commerce between these nations is what is held as a paramount concern.
The Republicans need to make it a campaign issue.

What about the tuberculosis, whooping cough and polio infested people crossing our porous southern border?
They will ultimately kill more Americans than West Africans.
“Youre the lawmakers - whos stopping you?”

PASS A LAW!!!!
That only works if the borders are secure.
I guess they’re finally starting to worrry about their own hides.
Good one.
But who’s stopping them from trying?
According to the WSJ, South Africa, Kenya and Zambia have banned travel from the Hot Zone countries.
I guess they must be racist.
Or something.
