The ISIS flag was raised in eastern Kobani this week.
CNN reporter Erin Burnett said the Obama Administration says the airstrikes are not aimed at stopping ISIS from gaining more ground such as Kobani.
CNN reported that ISIS was in control of 13 Iraqi cities before the airstrikes and today are in control of 14 Iraqi cities. In Syria ISIS still controls 10 cities and is about to take the key city of Kobani.

The mission of the airstrikes is to give the left wing media (CNN, MSNBC, Big 3, et al.) something to gush over, and to shore up sagging poll numbers. Nothing else is a priority.
