This highlights the insanity of the Welfare State. Everyone becomes eligible for a handout paid for by “the rich.” Until, that is, people wake up and realize that “the rich” is them.

Make them work for their handouts. I'm guessing at a minimum 80% are able
to pick up trash along the streets and highways. I wonder how many will stay on the rolls?
