I had no idea that speech was written by Kristol and Kraut. I remember it though. It was eerie, and almost creepy, in its messianic tone. "Overreach" is a mild word for it.
That is not true. GHW Bush was an opponent but did not attack Regan. Cruz needs to be a team player. He can not win on his own. Nor can any other conservative for that matter. That is why democrats win because they do not eat their own.
Yes they did and then HW Bush was foisted on Reagan as a running mate. As I recall it was part of some deal at the convention. People would pull their support of Reagan if HW wasn't on the ticket with him. Not Reagan's choice for a running mate.
