GOPe: Sexist, Establishmentarian, or Liberal?
Associated Press / Self ^ | 10/07/2014 | Uncle Miltie

In Kansas' Senate race, you have the establishement Republican down by a whopping 10%, so the GOPe is investing cash for the win:

Kansas Senate - Roberts vs. Orman NBC News/Marist* Orman 48, Roberts 38 Orman +10

In Michgan's Senate race, you have the conservative challenger down by only 5%, so the GOPe is hanging HER out to dry:

Michigan Senate - Land vs. Peters CBS News/NYT/YouGov Peters 46, Land 41 Peters +5

Is it sexism? Is it plutocrat incumbency protection? Or does the GOPe just hate conservatives?

All of the above. They’re just Democrats with a different party name. A few have eventually come clean about it, e.g. Charlie Crist and the late Arlen Specter.

Probably all three.

But after yesterday’s silence (sans Cruz) after the egregious act of judicial activism by the SC, the term that comes to mind most about the GOP is “cowards.”

I encourage all to call on people like Sarah Palin and Ted Cruz to help us out. If you have a few buck you can spare, I thank you in advance. We need a money bomb for her as a means of sending a message to the GOPe.

For what its worth, Terri Land.

She’s come out strongly against Amnesty.

Strong supporter of the keystone pipeline and developing our own energy sources

Supports easing the tax and regulatory burden to entice manufacturers to the USA

Supports full repeal of Obamacare

Supports returning the power of infrastructure to the states (tax/funding)

Has the endorsement of Michigan Right to life

Pro 2nd amendment

If anybody would like to tell Karl Rove what they think of his tactics.

Here’s how it works.

Kansas is a red state. Pat Roberts is an incumbent with a history of winning in Kansas. Kansas has a history of not sending Democrats to Washington.

Michigan is a forever tease. A swing state with a strong blue tint. Land is a rookie. Michigan has a history of not sending Republicans to the US Senate

Look at the all the models.

Michigan is basically a 99% sure bet for D hold. At 538, WaPo, NYT.

Kansas is a toss up. With same models. Because of the political demographics and history.

Money is better spent in Kansas.

What a load.

The same political wizards told us to give up on RTW because it had about a .0009% chance of success.

Obviously true. Nice analysis.

Thank you for improving the signal to noise ratio on this thread.

Playing defense always a sure way to advance the “conservative” agenda. The GOPE can’t see past their preening images in the mirror. They are becoming the Cubs of politics.

Well, another "Uncle Miltie," who pretends to be a conservative Republican would rather lose KS to the very liberal Greg Orman, just to get even with voters who didn't elect him instead of Roberts!

He might actually help those Kansans he pretended to wish to represent but don't expect an egomaniacal, selfish, spoil sport to actually do something that could pull the GOP together!
