SEOUL: North and South Korean naval patrol boats briefly exchanged fire on Tuesday (Oct 7) near their disputed Yellow Sea border which has been the site of numerous clashes in the past, the South's defence ministry said.
The incident came as hopes had been raised of a constructive reboot in strained inter-Korean relations following the surprise visit of a top-ranking North Korean delegation to the South just three days before. I can’t wrap my brain around this one. They sent emissaries over the weekend to talk about improving relations, and today they do this. I wonder who’s REALLY running the show in NK?

One half nautical mile, and shots get fired. They guard their SEA borders better than we guard our LAND borders. What’s with THAT??? /s ;)

Dang...It looks like the talks didn’t go well when the NORKS recently met with the South. /sarc
