On CNN's The Lead with Jake Tapper on Monday, guest Dr. Michael Osterholm of the Center for Infectious Disease Research & Policy spoke about the risk of infection that the United States and the world face in the growing Ebola epidemic. Osterholm offered two somewhat startling observations about the nature of our knowledge of the disease and its growth.
Tapper asked Osterholm about his statement in a column he wrote in the New York Times warning of the risk of an airborne version of Ebola and what it would it would mean. Osterholm has said that he can't imagine anything "more devastating" than airborne Ebola. Dr. Osterholm also warned Tapper that the chance of that happening is very low, although he did cite a shocking fact about previous airborne transmission of the disease that is rarely, if ever, mentioned in the news coverage of the outbreak.
Even more alarming, though, was his observation about what experts like himself don't know, which is apparently quite a lot.

I just got a feeling that Barry’s Ebola thing is going to get really ugly before it gets better.
Experts like Bronco Bama and Slow Joe?
normalcy bias.
societal inertia.
same idea.
I agree. When we had grownups running the country, they did what they could to keep diseases out. Yeah, some called them “rasis” but their number one priority was keeping Americans safe.
The Ebolacrats don’t care about U.S.
Six months ago? Ebola Experts are TODAY denying what is happening!
Post to me or FReep mail to be on/off the Bring Out Your Dead ping list.
The purpose of the Bring Out Your Dead ping list (formerly the Ebola ping list) is very early warning of emerging pandemics, as such it has a high false positive rate.
So far the false positive rate is 100%.
At some point we may well have a high mortality pandemic, and likely as not the Bring Out Your Dead threads will miss the beginning entirely.
*sigh* Such is life, and death...
Not just Ebolacrats, there are plenty of FReepers of privilege who still will tell you it can’t happen, well not to them and at most it might take a few of the little people, but it isn’t something to worry about.
21 day incubation period.
The person may be infected and not be running a temp yet.
In the meantime, all flights originating from Africa should not be allowed in.
What they are afraid to say is that the virus is airborne.
If Obama doesn’t shut off the border and stop flights originating from ebola country from entering here, he is a CRIMINAL and should be arrested.
Period.
Normal viruses double every 4 weeks (R =1.5)
This Ebola doubles every 18 -21 days (R = 2.0)
Survival rate at home with family 10% plus family members now infected
Survival rate at medical facility with saline IV and medications supplies is 30%, if you get there soon after infection .
A month ago WHO/MSB(Medicines Sans Borders) were turning away 30% of patients as they didn't have enough room ,
and people were already jammed into the corridors.
The system was already OVERWHELMED, and that was a month ago .

If her son pretended to be a puppy, would she reward and encourage that behavior to the extent that it took over her child's life, bringing the school into the game, or is it only sex/gender make believe that gets special treatment?
The goal of the Obama/DeathAdministration is
Death of America, or at least 80 millions WHITES.
Events continue to give Dear Leader the opportunity to demonstrate his ineptness, and the media the opportunity to say and do anything to hide it. Ebola, like Afghanistan, will reveal his incompetence with a body count. The ultimate price for selecting leaders by affirmative action.
