US Army Still ‘The Best in History’ After 50-Year 1-1-7 Record (Satire!)

THE PENTAGON — U.S. Army leaders insist their force is still “the greatest fighting force in human history” even after a woeful record exacerbated by two debacles in Iraq and Afghanistan, sources confirmed today.

“Look at the Roman Legion,” said Chairman of the Joint Chiefs Martin ‘McFly’ Dempsey, comparing the Romans to the modern U.S. Army which failed in Vietnam, Kosovo, Iraq, Libya, Iraq again, Afghanistan, and barely tied in Korea. “They never once waged a proper counterinsurgency. They never won hearts and minds, they just went right in and nailed the insurgents to crosses along the Appian Way. That’s not how you fight a counterinsurgency, it’s just not nice!”

The military is good at breaking things and killing people!

Probably none better in world history.

HST, the civilian “leadership” since WW II has been the worst in World History!

The “leadership” has “administered,” (they sure as Hell have not been leaders) the US into a position of being the world laughing stock in all arenas.

Where have all the leaders gone? Who will become our Winston Churchill?

Can we find one to pull our bacon out of the fire, or is the USA doomed to extinction?

The absence of an America on the world stage would be catastrophic!

Read “The 5,000 year Leap” by W. Cleon Skousen to find out why.

This not even funny satire.
The US military is still the best force on the face of the earth. No one can go toe to toe with us. The problem lies with our civilian leadership. The US military did not lose Viet Nam, Iraq, or Kosovo. Our so called leaders lost them.

” Our so called leaders lost them.”

You mean our top military leaders lost them, don’t you?

Who is the Commander in Chief, who is at the very top of the Chain of command? And next link down, the Sec Def, then the next link down, the Sec of ________ (fill in the blank for the service), and so on.

Actual military leadership by members of the military is removed by several positions.

We are only as good as our leadership

This not even funny satire.

Not all satire is humorous if you read a little deeper. The writer uses sarcasm and exaggeration in this story to make his point.

Using Vietnam as an example, much has been written about the military successes followed by the political failures, betrayals and sell-outs in Washington...

Anyone curious with a hint of intellectual honesty can find out for his/herself how the Left sold us out in Vietnam just like Korea, and every subsequent war the US has fought since...

Our warriors secure the victories to be sold out by the politicians...To blame our military is worse than facetious, it’s to perpetuate the BIG LIE!

Our military had won every significant engagement, had eliminated the Viet Cong as a fighting force, was holding off the NVA despite ridiculous ROE and meddling from LBJ, DC and the McNamara whiz kids...

The ARVN forces could very likely have held off the North if the promised support from DC had ever appeared, and the North adhered to the terms of the Paris agreement...

Sadly, none of this was to be...Betrayal is the best term I can think of for what followed...

I want my four years back...

Did you not see that I called out our civilian “leadership”? You post makes no sense in regard to mine.

Not a fan of this guys' crap either. The military has never lost. The political establishment consistently throws everything away.

“Civilian leadership” is a misnomer, they ARE our military leaders. They call all the shots.

Thank God for the Marines. They're the only group protecting the US from complete disaster in land combat.

Bull$h1t!

I love the US Marines, but what you say is extremely insulting to the US Army.

I'm certain the US Army can survive my comments, even if they are painful - and truthful.
