Banner Quote: An invitation to the White House for an Israeli leader is more like an invitation to a hanging - his own.
When it comes to Israel, everybody has an opinion and everybody is a critic. The world is full of experts and geniuses upon the Jewish State.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu barely managed to make his escape from Washington and already the sniping began.
By the time he started back to Israel, the carping was underway from world leaders and editorialists, all of whom want a piece of the action.
Nobody wants to be left out and no other country gets tested and examined like this. Yom Kippur if you failed to judge yourself harshly enough, fret not for the world will do it for you, if you are Jewish enough. If its loyalty you want, an understanding heart, youve come to the wrong place, pilgrim.
Jewish leaders from Israel never get the red carpet treatment at the White House. Its the kitchen entrance.
An invitation to the White House is like an invitation to a hanging, if youre an Israeli leader.
So, this time? This time it was the same all over again. What did Netanyahu gain? More to the point, what did he lose? Netanyahu was forced to utter the magic words two-state-solution before the Obama meetings even got started something he forgot to do during his UN speech.
From there it only got worse.
The Obama Administration expressed deep concern over the settlements and accused Israel of being an obstacle to peace.

Not so different, really. Hitler had Ukranians, Lithuanians and Poles doing much of the dirty work under the supervision of German SS. He kept his own hands clean.
Small wonder he forgot to say it at the UN. It’s so much rhetorical chicken shit now, only Obama insists on it as a matter of form. A two-state solution whenever the Palestinians recognize the Jewish state as a Jewish state. Right. That’ll happen./s
hell,
I want Bibi to nuke iran.
Yeah, I get the so-called Palis want certain parts back after they and other Arab nations lost the 1967 and 1973 wars. Too bad. It's called spoils of war.
Correct me if I'm wrong: But when Arafat didn't get like 3% of his demands at the Camp David Accords, he called for an "intifada" against Israel. We saw on a weekly basis their marketplaces, malls, weddings, buses, celebrations, et al being suicide bombed. But then Israel got smart unlike the USA and built a wall. It stopped.
But of course the Palis kept trying and still do this day with their puny rockets. And then the world wonders why Israel went into Gaza to FINALLY stop it. I always wonder why Israel doesn't take the Gaza back and kick out the Palis back to Jordan and Egypt. Oh right, those nations don't want them.
Then for some reason the international community pressured Israel to give up the Gaza Strip. So what did the Palis do in their so-called camps, which are actually towns? Destroyed any infra-structure built by Israel, including the hot-houses for food.
Bottom line to this day: the Palis say Israel should not exist and teach their children that all Jews should be eradicated. All Israel has ever asked is to be left alone to live in peace and be recognized as the nation it was given by the UN mandate after the English gave up the territory.
Oh right, he has forsaken our ally, the Ukraine. We have a checkers playing dunce playing against a chess playing ex-KBG Putin with his imperial designs. I've never been so ashamed of our president. Ronald Reagan would have never put up with Putin's moves. Reagan would have checkmated Putin years back.
“...deep concern over the (Jewish) settlements.”
But no deep concern over suicide bombings by jihadists.
IMHO

“Settlements”
Usually known as TOWNS. This neat little use of language bothers me.
Yeah, I find it strange how the media refers to Israel towns in the West Bank as “settlements”. So the “settlements” are an obstacle to peace? Boo hoo. Maybe the Christians in the middle east are also tired of all the Islamic “settlements” in historically Christian regions and see them as an “obstacle to peace”. Maybe Americans are tired of all the spanish-speaking “settlements” in the United States and see them as an “obstacle to peace”. Maybe Australians are tired of all the asian “settlements” in their country. But I don’t see the UN demanding any of those “settlers” cease building communities for themselves because the neighbors don’t like them there.
“All Israel has ever asked is to be left alone to live in peace and be recognized as the nation it was given by the UN mandate after the English gave up the territory.”
This I can’t agree with. The UN never gave us anything. They recognized a Jewish state, but that was an accomplished fact, brought about by over a century of building and cultivating, as well as by years of revolt against the British Mandate and never-ending war with Arab gangs and nations. We didn’t try to eradicate them, and we didn’t ask them for anything, even to leave us alone. If they recognize us, they recognize us. If not, not. Not one more inch of land should be conceded, though.
“The Democratic party playing both sides of the fence, flirting with mooslim nutbars and looting their jewish donors at the same time.”
They are the mooslim nutbars, and all they’re doing with Jewish donors is taking jiziya and making it ever more obvious that that’s exactly what it is.
