Authorities say an airline passenger who bypassed security at New York City's Kennedy Airport is being questioned, and some flights have been delayed as a result. The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey says the man passed through security in Terminal 8 without being screened at about 4:15 p.m. Saturday. Port Authority spokesman Joe Pentangelo (pehn-TAN'-jeh-loh) says passenger screening at the terminal was halted for about an hour and a half while authorities investigated the breach. Kennedy is one of the most heavily trafficked airports in the U.S., handling tens of millions of passengers each year.

I was watching an old Law & Order show from 1997 last night and in one scene you could totally see the WTC through the window. It always seems so surreal to me when I see it in movies and TV shows from the past.

I always imagine them reviewing the closed-circuit TV footage in FF to track the guy down, with Yakety Sax playing in the background.

The article says the person had gone through security and then decided to step outside for a cigarette. That is what triggered the hoopla.

Oh, no. TSA was bypassed....as if they’ve caught, apprehended, etc. any post-9/11 terrorist on their own

And people thought I was crazy driving 700 miles to see family.
