We Still Don't Know How Many People Obamacare Enrolled

This week’s double-barreled release of government statistics on health insurance coverage leaves us with only one question: How many Americans are insured because of Obamacare? Remarkably, the two highly-regarded government surveys released this week do not even agree whether the number of uninsured increased or decreased.

This is a nicely researched piece giving data from multiple sources that I found while looking for stats showing whether the number of insured have increased or decreased since Obamacare was enacted. My search was prompted by the President touting how successful his signature program has been.

I know more people who have lost their health care coverage than have gained it in the wake of this massive government takeover of medicine.

If the number has definitively increased, the Democrats would be flogging this and running on it in their campaigns. The fact that they are not demonstrates what the actual numbers are.

My husband just got notice that his old policy that he LOVED for $200.00 a month is now an Obamacare one for $600.00 a month!!! TRIPLED....for LESS COVERAGE....unless he gets PREGNANT!!

There are reports of hospitals requiring upfront payment of bills within the deductable. If the patient can’t pay, he is worse off than before. He paid premiums and got nothing but a hard time at the hospital

then being insured, can’t go to an emergency room for free because he is insured

I knew a woman who had been a stay-at-home mom for 20 years and after a divorce is trying to get back into the workforce. Once her COBRA expired, she got a $50/month insurance policy from the part-time job [which is all you can get these days] she was working at.

At the end of the last year, she got a notice that her insurance was being cancelled because it didn’t meet the Obamacare guidelines. Now she has no insurance and is thus obliged to pay fines for not having it.

In effect this means that people who are not politically favored are having their health care re-distributed to those who are.

Obamacare is working, all right. It’s making medical decisions into political decisions — which was the intention in the first place.
